All around us, it started to rain.
"Hey Holly?"
"Yeah sis?"
"Do you think...that I'll ever meet Jongdae one day?"
"Sure."
"No, really. Do you think so?"
"Maybe. You never know. Fate is weird sometimes."
"You know Holly, I think I'm really stupid sometimes."
"Why?"
"I keep on daydreaming about meeting Jongdae. But something always goes wrong. It's like I can't be with him even in my imagination. Does that mean fate is against us?"
"What kind of things go wrong?"
"Lots of things. I fall, I say something rude, he tells me he's already dating someone else in secret..."
"That's probably just your imagination starting to get to you."
"Say Holly..."
"Yeah?"
"If you met him first, do you think he would fall in love with you instead of me?"
Only after we broke apart did I realize that it was raining. A soft drizzle at first, but then it started to go down harder and harder. Chen took my hand and started running towards the nearest building.
"Why're you smiling?" he asked, as we sat down on the bench under the canopy that a restaurant had set out.
"That was like a drama. Kissing under the rain," I mumbled, flushing slightly.
He burst out into laughter, "you're such a hopeless romantic."
"It's not my fault," I muttered, "I love reading cliche romance novels, and watching dramas. That's a bad combination in itself."
Chen gave me a pat on the head, causing me to flush once again.
"S-so then, what do we do now?" I stuttered.
"I don't know. You wanna go to an arcade? Or maybe visit an aquarium?" Chen suggested, not understanding my question at all.
"I didn't mean that. Are we even legal?" I blurted out.
He stared at me blankly, "huh?"
"Is it even legal for you to date a trainee?"
"I don't see why not," Chen shrugged, "you're going to debut soon anyways, so..."
"But..." there were so many things in my head right now that I didn't even know where to start. So many problems, so many things that would go wrong if we got caught.
"Hey," he softly murmured, leaning closer towards me, "why are you worrying so much? We'll make this work. Trust me."
"I'm not used to this," I muttered, "not used to carrying on without a clear sight of what the future will hold."
"If we already knew what the future would hold, what would be the point of living our lives?" Chen questioned. He gave me a little peck on my cheek before leaning back, laughing.
"Y-yah!" I stammered, "don't do that!"
"Do what?" he asked innocently.
I pouted, "you're such a tease."
"Only to you," he stuck his tongue out.
"Stop being so cliche," I winced.
"Hey, I'm not being cliche. I'm being Kim Jongdae."
