A/N: I almost didn't post this.

Dlive blinked and stopped speaking mid-sentence, his computer screen blank before him and the lights having gone out, plunging him into darkness and taking with it all the progress he'd made over the last hour or so. Though he was frustrated with that, the sudden thud and clang as things hit the floor downstairs surprised Dlive more.
He yanked his headphones from his head and placed them against the keyboard, proceeding to feel more than know his way through the darkened, windowless room to where he knew the door would be. He yanked it open. Late afternoon light filter in with long shadows and he looked down the stairs to the left with intentions of calling out. The house had gone strangely silent since the initial sounds and he made his way in the direction of downstairs. He opened his mouth to say something, then grabbed hold of the railing suddenly while bursting into high pitched laughter that was surely heard by passersby outdoor.
An indignant huff made clear its irritation toward his humor, but he could hardly care less as he sank to the stair next to the wall and wiped tears from his eyes, giggles continuing to escape him while he looked down. Only Entoan could manage this, he was sure, and snickered renewed at the thought.
"Having fun?" He asked, trying to calm himself down to the point where he could breathe again.
"... Screw you!" the younger yelled up for lack of a better response, pushing himself to his feet from where he had fallen. He had managed to toss a sandwich of some sort off its plate and onto his head, where it balanced precariously but largely in tact. The plate must have been the clattering sound, Dlive vaguely understood, and Entoan himself must have been the thud. He fell back into laughter as Entoan's movements shifted the sandwich on his head, the top half falling off and leaving lettuce and tomato embedded in his black hair. Seeing this, Entoan shook his head like a dog, succeeding in hurtling the tomato to the floor but not the lettuce. As Dlive made his way down the stairs, Entoan crossed his arms over his chest.
"... I got scared when the lights and TV shut off," he said defensively, though he couldn't hide his own amusement in his upturned lips and his eyes. Dlive reached him and brushed his fingers through his hair with rough but not painful motions, tugging the lettuce and whatever else was in there out with them. Entoan pushed him away immediately, but not before he'd accomplished his job and dropped the remains to the plate on the floor. Dlive was covering his mouth to conceal a smile, but from the way his eyes crinkled and his shoulders moved occasionally it was obvious he was grinning like crazy.
Entoan rolled his eyes and muttered something under his breath as he brushed past, feeling Dlive trail behind him and clear his throat.
"Where are you going?" He said, making an effort to conceal his humor. Entoan smiled to himself at the thought, tempted to roll his eyes again. He may be a uke, but he found the whole sensitivity that was usually attributed to it to be bullshit, so he turned around and pulled Dlive after him by the shirt.
"I'm going to see if I can get the power back on, are you going to help me? Or are you going to stand ten feet back and watch?"
"Watching sounds fun." Dlive pretended to muse, causing Entoan to sigh exaggeratedly, release his shirt, and push open the door to the laundry room and the fuses.
It happened sometimes, maybe they'd both be recording and leave the tv on and/or the lights in a few rooms or something microwaving, or... whatever combination of stuff, and the house would throw a fit and decide they couldn't have nice things. It meant both of them were very familiar with this little box of switches, so when Entoan opened the exterior door to have a glance around, he immediately groaned and closed it.
