Dark and dreary;
The outlook
But not for me.
Pain and suffering;
The future-
But I am free.
I am free
Not by definition-
Optimism is key.
The day is rough,
The chains heavy,
But life is not so tough
When on the inside I soar.
Perversion of daily life,
A disgusting trick of the brain,
Can be overcome.
I'm buried in pain
Just physically-
I marvel at where my body lay.
Dark and dreary;
The outlook-
But I am free.
