Magic High

Chapter 2-

That's Maddox above us. ^^^^

I walked into the front gate with my hair up in a messy bun, because didn't straighten it. I was wearing my favorite BVB (Black Veil Brides for those who don't know) tee, black ripped skinny jeans, and combat boots. I looked around and saw Maddox and Quinn sitting under a willow tree with ear buds in, listening to music, and practically ignoring each other's existence. I walked over to them and kicked both of their legs, and plopped down in between them. Quinn pulled out one of his ear buds, and said "Hey, Vel, what's up?" "Just got here. I'mma mess with Maddox." As I said that, I leaned over to Maddox and pulled out one of his ear buds, and said "Hey, Mads, what're you listening too?" 

"Good Girls Bad Guys" (It's a Falling In Reverse song) "Oh My Gawd, I love that song!!" And, I put the ear bud in.  "When did I say you could listen with me, Vel?" he said to me, with a scowl on his face, but when I looked at his eyes they didn't look unhappy. I gave him a bright smile and told him, "You didn't, but I know you don't mind."

 I heard him laugh under his breathe and he rolled his eyes and leaned back against the tree. As we were listening to Falling In Reverse, I turned back to Quinn, and he was staring at me in shock. I was really confused, I have no idea what is so shocking to him. "What?" I asked, looking Quinn straight in the eye. "He didn't hit you for taking out his head phone, or tell you to leave him alone then take it back." "And? Is it not normal for him to act like this?" 

I said pointing towards him leaning against the willow. By that time, Maddox had caught on that we were talking about him and he leaned forward, and looked at Quinn and said "What bad things are you saying about me, this time, Quinn?" Maddox looked annoyed, and Quinn looked scared. So, instead of making Quinn tell him; I pushed myself in front of Maddox and explained to him what was said. By the end, Maddox looked angry, but had another feeling in his eyes too, I just couldn't place what it was. I sat in front of him for awhile, before I saw that there was no more anger in his eyes.

I leaned back against the willow tree and put the ear bud back in my ear. I laid there silently for a few minutes then all of a sudden I felt a head lay down against my lap. I leaned my head forward and opened my eyes. "M-Maddox, w-why are you laying on me?" I stuttered out in confusion and shock. "I'm tired. And, you're leaning against my spot on the tree. I'll get up if you want?" Maddox says, with his eyebrow raised and a slight smirk on his lips. "N-No, you're fine." 

He gave me a weird look, then just shrugged and closed his eyes.I leaned back against the tree, and found that the ear bud fell out when I jerked up. So, I put it back in, and closed my eyes and just let the music surround me.

I woke up to someone shaking me. I looked to see Quinn shaking me, and he said, "Vel, it's time for class let's go." All I did was nod because I was still drowsy from just waking up. I went to get up, but then found that my legs were being pushed down by some unknown force. I looked down to see that Maddox was still laying his head on me, and he had fallen asleep too. I slightly shook his shoulder and said "Maddox? It's time to wake up. It's time for class." All he did was slightly grumble and roll over.

I was really shocked. I decided to try and wake him up again, so I started tapping on his cheek. He grumbled, but then sat up. He leaned up, and growled at me, "What do you want, Velicitee?" I didn't cower back, I actually gave him a slight glare and said, if you would've listened the first time you would know." He glared back at me and said "Well, I didn't. So, what do you want?" I stopped glaring at him and got up. I started to walked away, then over my shoulder said, "It's time for class, let's go." 

I heard a quiet "Oh..." coming from behind me. Then I heard quick footsteps coming closer to me by the second. I started to slow down, but then I remember what he pulled just a few seconds minutes before, and continued at my original pace. Maddox caught up to me and said "Vel..." I just gave him a quick side glance, then said "What do you want, Maddox?" "I'm sorry for snapping at you a minute ago. But, as you saw I'm not a morning person." I just nodded and said "Yeah, I understand that, but you still had no right to snap at me." He didn't say anything else and just walked down the hall with his head lowered. 

We were quickly surrounded by silence. It wasn't an awkward silence, though. The silence actually made me calm down enough for me to place my hand on his shoulder and said, "It's cool, Mads. But, I have a question." "Shoot." "Everyone tells me you're quiet and rude to people. Why are you so open and nice to me?" "I don't know. You just give me a good feeling. Unlike most people do. And, so, I'm more open with you." "Oh, okay." By the time I finished saying that it was time or us to separate because we go to classes on different sides of the school. 

I said a quick "Bye, Mads." And, I heard a distant "Bye, Vel." And, that was the last thing I heard until I got to the classroom. Where I had to explain where I was and why it took me so long to get to class.
