That week went by quickly, and before I had the chance to blink, It was Saturday. What my parents liked to call Date Night. Every Saturday, since the dawn of time, my parents had gone out for a night with just each other. When Mia moved out, and Rick, too, they'd continued the tradition with their husband and soon to be wife.

Mia couldn't move much, so her and Jake were staying in here--a sense of a date, but not really. Rick was picking up his fiancé at her apartment and they were going out to eat. My parents were going out to the back of the farm and having their own little picnic and bonfire ordeal. What was I doing that delightful night?

Being convinced to go the town library.

James had no clue where anything was (though this town wasn't exactly big), he used his inexperience to his advantage and was trying to have me cart him there.

It might have been funny to the onlooker, but I found James' persistence somewhat of a turn on.

On the floor in front of me, James sat on his knees, hugging his nice, fake, tanned arms around my legs. "Please?" he asked, chin resting on my stomach as he stared up at me. "Please take me to the library?" If he hadn't been so damn gorgeous, I would have thought him to look like a little kid.

"It's Date Night."

He grinned, hugging my legs tighter. "We could read each other books!"

A little smile came over my lips as I saw James reading some silly princess book to me. "Okay . . ." I thought out loud slowly. "But only if we can go to the lake afterwards."

"The lake?" he asked, standing up to his full height above me.

"Mmhmm. My grandparents own a tiny part of it, and they let us use it whenever."

A grin spread over his face. "There's a lake here?"

"Yes! Are you not listenin' to me?"

He shrugged and turned to his bag full of clothing. "I just didn't think there was a lake anywhere near by."

I wasn't really listening to the guy. I was watching as he began to strip off his shirt before he noticed I was in the room. When he remembered I was sitting on my old bed, seeing me in the mirror of my dresser, he locked his green hues on mine, lifting the shirt over his head.

"You want a full show?"

I blinked and all but ran from the room.

The house was empty except for Mia and Jake, who were laying on the couch, eating cereal (Mia's new craving) and watching a movie. I gave Mia a hug goodbye, and waved off Jake as James came down the stairs.

As I was opening the door to my dad's truck, James' hand pushed it make into place. "Can I drive?"

I raised a brow and turned to face him. "What's with all the wantin' today?"

"Come on," he said, "I haven't drove in a whole week almost! I just want to feel the wheel in my hands."

"You can ask my dad to drive the tractor when we get back."
