'Tick tick tick tick'

That's all I could hear, the sound of the clock and my own heart beat, for hours on end.

It hurt, it was a constant burning, I missed her. I missed her so bad, I wish she was here, with me. But no...she's gone, some where...

I stood from my seat, I needed to get out, or try too. I couldn't just sit here all day, it would be pointless. Not to mention I was at kids again.

I made my way out of my room, down the hall and the ever so grand stair case, and toward the front door. Made a sharp right and went straight to the kitchen.

Chips was needed, yeah something with a crunch. Needed more than anything though was a drink, yeah, that kind.

"Mmm" I opened the fridge, looking for a cold beer. But found apple juice, I groaned loudly.

"You ok?" Kid walked in, his sweat pants hanging rather low on his hips. He attempted to reach the golden grams, but couldn't.

"Yeah, we're out of beer though-" I walked over and grabbed them for him-"anything new?"

"Nah, but blossom came back, she's upstairs," he began pouring himself a bowl. As I began slowly loosing my mind.

"What? Where's shadow?" He shrugged, "she didn't come, why?" He looked at me, my jaw dropped slightly.

"Cuz' I miss her! And you get your girl I want mine!" I sighed and leaned on the fridge door, damn this sucked.

Kid smiled softly and walked closer to me, leaving his cereal on the counter. "Just smile please, I'm sure she'll be back soon,"

God he was short, I mean I should've been listening to what he was saying. But he had to tilt his head almost completely up to see me.

"Soul...?" He was closer now, I hummed. "Pardon?"

"Could you please smile?-" he reached up and touched my cheek. I pulled away. No, I know how this works.

"Kid...I broke that off a long time ago, please don't.-" I looked at him he had backed up, seeming less feminine than before.-"I'm sorry, I get it...but I'm fine and you have blossom."

I turned to walk away, hating the look on kids face. He was always trying to make me feel better, and damn did it get hard to say no sometimes.

But not now, I don't want him now, I want her, and I'm sure he wants blossom.

"Sorry..." He turned and grabbed his food, and went out the opposite side of the kitchen.

I sighed and went straight to the liquor cabinet, grabbing a bottle of whisky and Pepsi. I sat on the parlour couch, and drank.

What I would do to see her right now....
