Chapter 29: What if... One of the children got abducted?

Liam: 0

"Let's go. Skyla, we gotta go. We can't be late!" Aidan exclaimed, I quickly grabbed Liam from the ground and made my way over to the door.

We got into the car, I sighed shortly.

"Is there something wrong, babe?" he asked, I shook my head.

"It's nothing, just tired." I replied, he just nodded before kissing my cheek.

We went over to the school and patientely waited for the children.

Felix was the first to arrive and he first asked if he could show Liam off to his friends.

I kneeled down in front of him and I carefully placed Liam in his arms. He knows how to hold a baby, he has done it with Lillian and Liam so I knew it'd be fine.

William was next and he just went to ask if he could play with Lillian, which was totally fine. William is very responsible, I think it's because he's the oldest.

"Kate's taking her time..." Aidan said, I nodded. He looked down at his phone and pulled one hand through his hair.

"It has been 20 minutes... I'm seriously worried, should I go check at the teacher?" he asked, I nodded sighing loudly.

"It's gonna be fine, babe." he said, kissing me shortly.

He then walked inside, I was looking at Felix who was showing his friends how cute his little brother was.

I was really worried... Kate is only 4 years old and I am honestely thinking she is gone.

Felix then walked over to me and held Liam out towards me. I took the little boy from his arms and I smiled at Felix.

I was constantly worrying about Kate, she is always early, I really think there's something wrong.

After a few minutes Aidan walked out of the building, he seemed tense, I knew something's wrong.

He didn't say anything he just harshly put his arms around me to hug me.

"Aidan, where is she?" I asked, no reply came from him.

"Aidan, where is my daughter?"

"Aidan, please tell me she's okay, I need to know what happened. Please, please, just-

"She's gone. She... Was picked up by her so called uncle." he sighed, I squirmed out of his grip.

"She doesn't have an uncle..." I said, he nodded.

"I know... Someone took her, and we have no idea who did..." he replied. I walked over to one of the benches and covered my face in my hands.

"My daughter... My oldest daughter, my princess... Why? Why her... Why not me..." I said. Aidan just sat down next to me and grabbed my hand.

"Babe, let's go to the police. They can help us, we just need to stay calm..." he sighed, I raised my eyebrows.

"Stay calm? Stay calm?! How am I supposed to stay calm?! My bloody daughter is gone?! How do you want me to stay calm?!" I yelled, he gently put his hands onto my cheeks.

"Skyla, she'll be back. The police will do anything they can... But we need to go there now, you understand?" he asked, looking into my eyes, I just nodded.

"Come on, you just get in the car. I'll drive, I'll go and get the children. I'm giving you the time to think about things and calm down." he said, I just nodded again.

He handed me the car keys and kissed my forehead before walking towards the children.

I sat down in the car and just stared out in front of me... How could this happen to me?
