Chapter 22: Not the hair?!

"Hey Aidan, I got a new role. And I want you to take care of the children for a month." I said, looking down at my phone.

"Okay, tell me about your new role." Aidan replied, holding the sleeping Liam on his chest.

"Well, I don't know my name yet. But I need to go to London, and it's with Benedict and Martin." I replied, he smiled.

"Cool! Anything else I need to know?" he asked, I bit my lip.

"Well... There's this one thing you probably won't really like." I said, nervously playing with my hands.

"Please tell me it doesn't have anything to do with you having screen sex with someone." he said, sitting down next to me on the couch.

"No, of course not. I just... I... Aidan, I need to dye my hair brown. Like, dark brown." I said, he shook his head.

"No. You will not dye your hair brown, I don't care what they will pay you." he said, standing up from the couch again.

"Come on?! Aidan, I'm gonna do it anyways. Just, please, please, please, give me your approval." I sighed, he placed one finger in front of my face.

"Mommy?! Can I braid your hair?!" Kate yelled, she was followed by her waddling little sister.

"Kate, sweetheart. What do you think, should mommy colour her hair brown like Lillian's?" Aidan asked, Kate her eyes widened.

"What? But then I won't look like mommy anymore? No, mommy don't colour your hair." she mumbled, I sighed.

"But what if I had to for my job? And it would be good for a change? Wanna go with me so you can get a pink heart in your hair?" I asked, knowing she would love that.

"Yeeeees, let's go, mommy!? Let's go, let's go, let's go!" she then yelled pulling my hand.

"Well Aidan... I'm gonna dye my hair brown. I'll see you in about an hour maybe two if we decide to go shopping or something." I said, grabbing my bag.

"Skyla, don't you dare do this." Aidan sighed, I quickly pecked his lips.

"We're leaving, bye honey." I said, walking out the door, holding Kate her hand.

"Well, mrs. Turner, have you ever dyed your hair before?" Miranda, my hair stylist asked, I shook my head.

"This is my natural hair colour, I have never dyed my hair so this will be a first time. And my husband isn't happy, he fell in love with my hair when we met so he doesn't want me to dye it." I sighed, looking at my little daughter in the chair next to me.

"Ah, the man's fear. He's just afraid you'll look too hot for him, but trust me, you'll look amazing." she said making me sigh.

"I hope."

"I like it, it's very different. But it's kinda weird to see myself like this, I think I just really have to get used to this." I said, looking into the mirror.

"Mommy, you look nice." Kate said, looking up at me.

"Thank you, Kate. But look at you, with your pretty braids, and your pretty hairs. You're the only blonde girl in the house now, daddy will love you even more now." I said, lifting her up to place her on my hip.

"Can we eat pizza tonight? To celebrate our new hair?" she asked making me smile.

"If daddy thinks it's okay I am okay with it too." I said, she happily giggled.

I handed her my phone on speaker, Aidan immediately picked up.

"Sup Sky?" Aidan asked, he is still pissed off.

"Mommy looks really nice!? And can we eat pizza?" Kate asked, I know he will say yes, he can never say no to his little girl.

"Of course. See you soon, bye." Aidan replied, immediately hanging up.

"We're home!?" I yelled, Kate stormed into the house carrying all the pizzas.

I first put my coat away before walking into the living room.

"Oh god..." he said, I pouted.

"Don't you like it?" I asked, he bit his lip.

"I don't know yet, it's very different." he said, I sighed.

We then all gathered at the table, eating our pizza.

"Well, I have good news and bad news." I then said, Kate dropped her pizza dramatically.

"The bad news is that I will be gone for work for about a month, but the good news is that daddy will take care of you for a whole month." I said, everyone cheered except for one.

Kate ran away from the table and up the stairs,

"She likes you way more than me, she's not going to take it well. Go talk to her, she needs her mommy." Aidan said, I sighed.

"Make sure Lillian and Liam eat properly." I sighed before going up the stairs.

I heard Kate sniffing in her own room, she had also locked the door.

"Kate? Sweetheart, open the door, then we can talk about it." I sighed, the lock got opened.

I carefully opened the door to see Kate laying on the ground, covered with a blanket.

"Sweetheart, sometimes mommy has to go work, just like daddy does." I said, picking the little girl up from the ground.

"But daddy doesn't love me, and you do." she sniffed, crying onto my shoulder.

"Oh darling, daddy loves you! Daddy just has to take care of Lillian and Liam, and William and Felix always play with eachother." I said, sitting down on her bed.

"I don't want you to go, I don't want to be alone." she cried, I gently gave her a small hug.

"Kate, would you like to come with me? I don't know if I can take you with me, but I can try." I replied, carefully kissing her hair.

"Thank you mommy."
