1985 before GNR

"Baby we have to find another band to play with! We can't only stay two!" Said Slash to his girlfriend, Emma. She sighed and looked at him while walking down the Sunset Strip.

"Well I know a guy and he said that he was looking for a guitarist and a drummer." Explained Emma still looking at her boyfriend. He looked down at her and smiled a little under all the curly hair he had in his face. Slash didn't thought about the fact that the guy that Emma knew would sleep with his girlfriend, she couldn't do that to him.

"Can I see this guy?" He simply asked still walking.

"yeah but the small problem is that I don't know where he is right now. Maybe he is a the Whiskey." Replied Emma. Slash agreed to go at the Whiskey. they both walked down the Strip and Slash thought that it would be nice to be in a new band with new people. In the back of his mind, he wished that it will work with Emma's friend.

"Slash? You listening? We're here." Said Emma tapping on her boyfriend's shoulder. He turned his head to face Emma.

"Sorry, what were you saying? And let's go inside." He replied.

"I said that my friend's name is Izzy Straddlin, I know it's a weird name but the guy in general is weird." Said Emma while she and Sash entered in the bar. There was a band playing live called Loverboy. She liked the band but she liked much more to listen to her boyfriend playing guitar. She stood by the bar with Slash beside her drinking a beer he ordered few seconds earlier. Emma was looking for Izzy in the bar, at first she didn't see him but the door flew open and revealed a guy with long black hair. Emma smiled and tapped on Slash's shoulder. When he turned to face Emma, she pointed at the guy and said to Slash that it was Izzy. She walked close to Izzy followed by a shy Slash who hide himself behind his curly hair.

"Hello Izzy! I want you to meet my boyfriend Slash and he plays guitar.He's looking for a new band with a friend of him who plays drums." Said Emma to Izzy. Izzy looked at Slash and his expression changed when he saw Slash's look.

"Come and sit with me you two, I have to talk to you guys." Said Izzy starting to walk to a table. Slash looked at Emma with an interrogative look and they both followed Izzy to a table. They all sat at a table an Izzy looked at Slash again. He didn't know what fascinated him about Slash but he couldn't stop looking at him.

"So Slash you play guitar, right?" Asked Izzy. Slash nodded and Emma decided to go and search for a drink for herself. She got up and walked away leaving the two boys together.

"My friend play drums, we decided to form a band together but we didn't find any singer or bass player." Explained Slash to Izzy after taking a sip of beer. Izzy nodded after Slash finished his explanation.

"If you want to, after our drink, you can come to my place and play some guitar for me and I'll give you a demo of the singer of my band." Said Izzy. Slash nodded and said that he prefer to go at his place, Izzy will be able to see Steven, his friend, play drums. Izzy agreed with Slash's idea and Emma came back with a beer. Izzy looked at her and smiled.

"Emma, you know where I live right? Asked Izzy and Emma nodded. Well can you go and search a demo of Axl singing. You knock on the door and explain to Axl what you want and hell give it to you. After that you come back to Slash's place with the demo, please! Finished Izzy. Emma nodded and finished her beer before getting up to walk out of the bar. She thought it was weird to ask her to go search a tape at Izzy's place but she sis it as a favor for him. She walked for a good 10 minutes before arriving to Izzy's place. She got the tape after asking it to Axl and walked back to Slash's place which took about 20 minutes. Emma walked in slash's place and instantly heard the sound of a drum and a guitar.

"That sounds pretty good guys! Do you want me to play with you two?" Asked Izzy. Steven and Slash looked at each other and nodded. Izzy took one of Slash's guitar, spent the strap above his head and played few cords to adjust the guitar. Emma walked in the room and tapped in Izzy's shoulder and gave him the demo when he turned to face her. Izzy thanked her and ask if he could play the tape somewhere. Slash took the tape form Izzy's hand and putted it in the radio. When Slash pressed "play" , he and Steven were surprised by the singer's voice . The both looked at Izzy with wide eyes and Izzy smiled at them.

"So what do you think?" Asked Izzy looking at both men.

"it's fucking amazing dude!" Said Steven and Slash agreed with him.

"Do you want to meet him You can come to my place with Emma." proposed Izzy.

"Yeah we'd like to. Sais Slash. So, do you still want to play with us like you said earlier?" Asked Slash. Izzy nodded and they started to play together. Emma smiled to herself and thought that the boys sounded good together.

FEW DAYS LATER

Slash, Steven and Emma were sat on the couch at Izzy's place. Steven was playing with his drumsticks while Emma was playing with her fingers and Slash was looking at Izzy who was walking around in the room.

"Will your singer show up Izzy?" Asked Slash still looking at him. Izzy thought about an answer but he didn't have the time to say it 'cause the door flew open revealing a red hair men.

"Sorry I'm late! I completely forgot it was today we meet with the guys!" Said the guy walking close to Izzy. All eyes were now in the singer who made a noisy input.

Can we start now?" Asked Slash.

"yeah but first Axl that's Slash and Steven and guys that Axl." Said Izzy. Axl nodded to the two boys and they got up to go at their respective instrument. the boys started jamming together with Izzy and Axl was impressed by Slash and Steven's playing. Axl looked at Izzy, who was playing with the guys, and mouthed to him that they were the good one plus they had the same style as them.

"Guys, we took our decision!" Said Izzy over the loud music. they both stopped playing and looked at Izzy.

"Welcome in the band!" Said Izzy throwing his hands in the air. Slash and Steven looked at him with wide eyes , they couldn't believe what Izzy just said to them.

"Really men? that's fucking awesome!" Cheered Steven rushing into Axl's arms. Emma smiled when she saw the scene and said to herself that love can help to go further in life.
