"Yes, we did. It had better be the right one." Staring off into the distance, I see a small village type thing. It's not your average alien town though. From here someone could have mistaken it for a rainbow. (The picture above is not of this city.) So, anyway, Luke and I proceed to walk towards the city hoping we had found the right one.
"Yeah, let's keep going." Luke looks back down.
We continue to walk in the direction of the far away unicorn puke houses. I look over at Luke who is intently studying the blinding lime green grass.
"Luke, what are you thinking about?" I ask examining his face.
"Huh? Oh, I- I just can't believe that Thalia betrayed you too. I mean I know her—knew her—not to be someone who would just betray a friend. I just can't believe it's true," he tells me sadly.
"Believe me man, I wish it wasn't." I keep my gaze on rainbow city.
He mutters something barely comprehendible that sounds to me like, "She would never..."
I look at him with suspicion. "Why are you thinking so much about that?" I narrow my eyes at him.
He hesitates before opening his mouth, but I stop him.
"Never mind," I say smiling like an idiot.
"Okay. What are you smiling about?"
"Oh, nothing," I say through my grin.
"Ugh, whatever." Luke rolls his eyes and we both start laughing.
We continue walking towards the town of colors. Wefinally make it to the village that is stuck in the 60's. Finally! Everything here is much more vibrant than you'd ever expect. When I say this, I mean the massive colorful wall in front of me. Right when we walk up to it, the wall reveals a smooth crack down the middle and it opens up like giant double doors. Luke and I step out of the way so we don't get swept to the side by the sparkly stone.
"Hello! Come in! Come in!" A smiling woman appears in font of us. She has neon blue skin and a shiny silver gown.
How does she know English?
"Uh, hi," I say awkwardly.
The big stone doors close behind us.
"Well, what brings you two to our town?" she asks still weirdly smiling.
"Well..." I start but for some reason don't finish.
"Oh, I forgot to ask you your names!" the lady looks at us.
"Uh, I'm Luke, and this is... Kai."
I smile.
"Wonderful, my name is Isabella."
Huh, I didn't know that this planet would have normal Earthen names. Well I know this neon planet is definitely not Pandora from Avatar. It's too bright.
"Here, follow me so I can show you around and help you if I can." She turns around and starts walking.
"Alright, thank you," Luke says.
