Oh Crap that was Today?

Well that mission went well... I think. But hey, we each got a little bright green tree sapling from the city we helped. They're so nice. Sooo apparently time on that planet goes way slower than time on Planet Chaos. It's been six days!

"Kai are you packed yet!?" I hear Silena yell from outside my room.

"Yeah, yeah, getting there."

"Well hurry up we have to talk about tomorrow."

"But I've been avoiding that all day," I whine.

"Just hurry up!"

"Ugh fine."

I continue packing my things in my small bag that looks like it can't hold more than a single pomegranate, but can actually fit a lot. I throw in a whole bunch of clothes and necessities and finally finish five minutes later making sure Riptide is in my pocket. I smooth down my blue t-shirt as I open the door and step outside into the hallway. Ethan walks out of his the same time I do. His room is two doors down from mine.

"Hey Ethan," I greet as we begin walking down the hall towards the meeting room.

"Hey Kai."

"Excited for the mission?"

"Uh, I wouldn't exactly say excited, but sure I guess. It's just I used to be on Kronos's side..."

"I've been thinking about that too. Like I wasn't ever planning on seeing anyone else from Camp Half-Blood again."

"I bet."

"Yeah, so I was thinking we could use something to cover up who we are. The other day I was poking around in some old bins in some closet and I found some magic black veils. I had put one on just too see how it works and it's really cool. It covers up your whole head but it feels like your not wearing it at all. And, you can see through it normally, but no one else can see you unless their wearing a veil too. Think we should use those?"

"Whoa, that would be perfect. Yeah we should totally use those."

"Awesome, we can tell the group about it at the meeting."

"Okay, cool."

We make it to the meeting room after turning a corner or two. Everyone is there already waiting for us.

"Took you guys long enough!" Silena scolds.

"Sorry..." we both mumble somewhat amused.

After Ethan and I take our seats at the dark brown oval table, Beckendorf starts the meeting. "So, do we have a plan or something 'cause I have no idea what is going to happen tomorrow."

"Uh..." I look around the table from one confused face to the next. "I have an idea. So I'm sure most of you probably don't want anyone, including the gods, to know who we are."

Every one nods in agreement.

"Well," I continue. I tell them about the magic black veils I had found.

"That is a really good idea, Kai," Bianca says.

"Yes, it is," Zoë agrees.

Luke nods.

"Thanks. Uh, you want me to go get them?"

"Yeah, and hurry," Silena tells me.

"Alright," I say leaving. I practically sprint down the hallway and return with the veils. I hold them up for my friends to see and I put one on.

"These are great!" Beckendorf says.

"Yeah, this is perfect!" Silena smiles.

Luke grins trying one on himself. "Awesome."
