Chapter 1 ● Letter

A/N: This is my first fanfiction of Robert Pattinson X my OC, Kayla. I have to clarify that I am not connected to Rob, or any of the characters in this story. I will try my best to do regular updates, most likely on the weekends. The story will also shift from Kayla's point of view to Rob's point of view - at selected times. The ideas in this story came from the fantasies in my mind and I hope you enjoy them too

Set in an AU where Rob hasn't dated Kristen or FKA Twigs

Kayla's P.O.V

I stood at my kitchen table clutching a small letter that I had received from the people at Summit Entertainment. My green eyes sparkled in delight as I read the cheerful letter,

"Congratulations, Ms. Kayla Rosslyn! You have been chosen to play the lead character, Penny, in our film 'Sweeter than You'."

I let out a relieved sigh and dropped the letter from my sweaty palms. Smiling widely, I grabbed my computer and went to my email to contact my manager, Elizabeth, about the new news. I raised an eyebrow as I found a new message from her that was sent about an hour ago.

It read, "Did you hear the news? You got accepted for the part! I'm so proud of you. Remember, your flight to LA leaves tomorrow afternoon. The people who sent you the letter told me they left you a key to the mansion. I'll meet you at the airport tomorrow."

I was questionable as to why Elizabeth was talking about a flight to LA. I checked back at the letter to see another paragraph I hadn't read. I must have been too excited that I missed it.

"Since the movie requires the family to have a strong emotional bond with each other, we are having you and the rest of the main cast live in the same household for a total of five months before shooting. This will hopefully help you get to know each other and form bonds outside of the film. The other members attending the household are Kristen Stewart, Theo James, and Robert Pattinson. We have arranged a flight for you tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 PM to LA, where the household, in this case a mansion, is located. We have left you a key attached to this letter. We look forward to working with you, Ms. Rosslyn, and happy travels!"

I could hardly believe what I just read, but I couldn't waste any time thinking about it. I pulled my dark brown hair into a pony tail and went upstairs to pack a suitcase.

I stood in the airport with Elizabeth by my side. I tried not to pay attention to the snapping paparazzi around us as I listened for the announcing of my flight.

A bored female voice came over the intercom, "Now boarding flight 231 to Los Angeles, California."

I smiled at Elizabeth. "That's my flight."

Elizabeth sighed and handed me my backpack and suitcase. I ended up having to pack two bags for the amount of clothing I was bringing.

"Have fun," She said and kissed my cheek goodbye.

"Bye, Liz." I smiled and straightened the bang that covered my left eye before tuning to give my boarding pass to an employee. He scanned it and let me pass through into the path that led to the plane outside. With a last wave to Elizabeth I heaved my backpack over my shoulder and rolled my suitcase down the path.

I put my suitcase in the upper compartment above my seat next to the window and sat down. In just a matter of minutes we were off the ground and headed straight for LA. I pulled out a book and earphones and started relaxing. It would be a while before we arrived in LA.

I was enjoying my alone time on the plane, and even the frequent questioning if I wanted peanuts or crackers didn't dampen my mood. By tomorrow I was going to meet the cast of my new movie.

Rob's P.O.V

I pulled my car up to the address of the mansion. It was 11:45 PM. There wasn't a set time that we needed to be there, so this is the time I was showing up. I got out of my car and grabbed my green duffle bag from the passenger seat. The mansion was beautiful, from what I could see in the dark. I noticed two cars parked in the driveway; one that I immediately noticed as Kristen's. I headed down a cobblestone walkway to a huge metal front door. I checked my pockets for the key but realized that I left it in my car. I groaned and ran back to my car and grabbed the key from the cup holder. I ran back and unlocked the door.

I was greeted by a warm bright light and the smell of cinnamon. The interior of the mansion was even more beautiful then the outside.
Kristen and Theo James were sitting on the couch watching Full House.

"Hey Rob," Kristen greeted.

I walked over to where they were sitting and put my bag on the floor.

"Hey," I started. Theo stood up to shake my hand.

"I'm Theo James, nice to meet you." I shook his outstretched hand in a firm handshake.

"I'm Robert Pattinson." I replied while sitting down on the floor next to the couch and nodding to Kristen.

"There are 4 bedrooms," Kristen said. "Theo and I have already been situated in two of them. Take yours when your ready."

"And I will," I replied with a smile and grabbed my duffle bag. "And there's another actor coming if I'm not mistaken?"

This time it was Theo who replied, "Yes, her name is Kayla I believe."

"Hmm," is all I could say. I had never heard of her. I stood up and started up the stairs to where the bedrooms were. "I'm going to get settled into my room."

Kristen nodded and Theo was back to watching the television. I traveled down a hallway into one of the two remaining bedrooms and laid my belongings down on a bed that had blue and red stripped sheets. I unzipped my bag and put my clothes in a closet on the side of the room.

I heard footsteps coming up the stairs before they stopped in my doorway.

"We're heading to bed," Kristen yawned before heading to her room.

"We can wait for this Kayla person in the morning," Theo agreed before also going to his bedroom.

I glanced at the clock. It was 12 o'clock midnight. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and to marvel the fancy repertoire within it.

I only now realized how tired I was. They're right. This Kayla girl can wait until morning. I stripped to an undershirt and boxers and turned off the light to my room. I jumped into bed and almost immediately fell asleep.

A/N: Hey again! Thanks for reading the first part to my story! Sorry you don't know that much about Kayla right now, and that this part was a bit fast paced, but I will reveal much more about her as the story goes on. I have many cute and fun ideas for my story later on ~ so be prepared for updates!
