Alister's P.O.V

I leapt at the person. They swiftly dodged and backed away. In a lightning fast move, I spun with my fist clenched. The person ducked and held up their hands in surrender. "Whoa, killer. I'm not the one you want."

I took a shocked step back. "Kat?!"

The shadows lifted from her face. She gave a small smile. Truthfully I was happy to see her, but then rage took over. "What the hell are you doing here?"

"You left me. You never told me to stay. I'm your partner so to speak. I'm going to fight too."

"No." I growled. "Go home."

She crossed her arms and leaned back. "You're not the boss of me. I'm not listening to you. I'm going to fight."

"No you're not. Now go home." Anger was building up and I could feel the temperature rise. Heat coarsed through me. I knew I had to be glowing, but I didn't care. Kat shouldn't be here. It's too dangerous. I've lost enough. I can't loose her to. My gaze met hers and I was surprised to see anger reflecting off her delicate features.

She stepped forward and through clenched teeth she said, " He was my son too. I have a right-"

I cut her off abruptly. "You have a right to what? A right to die?" I practically shouted.

She stuck her chin out in deficience and stood up straighter. In a low voice she said, "I'm. Not. Leaving."

I shook my head. "Whatever. Follow my lead." I said harshly. She nodded and stood on her tip toes and gave me a small peck on the lips. I sighed and walked up to the base. She made it impossible for me to stay angry with her. Yet, instead of kissing her back, I walked away. Needless to say I felt a tad guilty, but brushed it off. I'd kiss her after and I will never let her go. Ever. After this we can start our family. For real, with no fears.

I strode towards the doors. A single ninja was guarding the doors. He stood up staight as we came closer. He eyed us. I put on a confident and in charge kind of look. He blocked my path as I stepped up.

"Who are you?" he asked in a barratone voice. He had a shaved head and slanted ebony eyes. He was a tad smaller than me, but muscular. I looked down on him.

"Is this Al's base?" he shifted, giving me the answer I needed. I nodded. "So I am in the right place. Excuse me, but this is an emergency."

He shook his head. "I can't-"

I cut him off abruptly. "This is life and death. Let. Me. In. Now!" I felt Kat brush against me. I looked at her and she was looking at me with wide eyes. I looked down at myself. I was glowing. Great. The man had wide eyes an had stepped back.

"Pyosi." he whispered in awe.

I stepped back. "What?"

He pointed up at me. "Your a Pyosi. I thought there waa none left."

"What is a Pyosi?" I demanded. "Tell me."

He opened the doors. "Go I don't care. Just don't hurt me."

I gave him a confused look and stepped towards him. He jumped back. Huh. Whatever this Pyosi is, it strikes fear in people. I stood up straighter and put on my game face and walked in.

As we got in I looked around and analysed our surroundings. The walls were a lined in shiny metal. We were in a tunel that curved at the end to the left. I began to walk, but Kat stopped me.
