Chapter 16- They See Me

Edd's POV

Will she keep my secret?

I'm a little late this morning, but I walk into school.
The halls are crowded and kills are all talking.

They see me.

Hisses and boos ring out the halls.

Some throw wadded up paper.

Other throw food.

"How could you do that to Marie?!"

Boo.

"F*g!"

Boo!

Vulgar words fill the hallway.

"Go kill yourself!!"

I am pushed to the locker and fall down.

Kick.

KIck.

KICk.

KICK.

KICK!

My sides hurt.

More vulgar words.

Everything hurts.

My ears are ringing.

It's blurry.

Am I crying?

More shouting.

"Kill yourself!"

More kicking and punching.

"Hey get away from him!" Is what I hear before it all goes black.

When I come back from blackness I hear,
"You don't have to stay," a familiar voice says to someone.

"I would like to stay and make sure he is okay. If you don't mind Nurse Prowse," another voice says.

"I suppose," Nurse Prowse replies.

"Thank you."

I open my eyes as my eyes adjust to the light I realize I am in the nurse's office.

I try to move, but it just feels like all the weight of an elephant is on me.

"Eddward," Nurse Prowse says surprised. "Please Dear, don't try to move. You will feel more pain later after the medicine wears off if you do."

I sigh.

"There is someone who would like to talk to you," Nurse Prowel leaves the room and someone else comes in.

My heart pounds.

Who is here?

Are they going to hurt me?
