Chapter Twelve: STRIKE!!

(DERRICK)

For a Wednesday night, there is nobody here. I mean, it's just me, Mara, Katie and Cody. The owner said that he would give us a discount because we're the only ones here. We all got our shoes, picked which lane we wanted to bowl in and found our bowling balls. Then, in comes the people. But, these are just not ordinary people. These people are the WGS, Mara's squad and their boyfriends.

"Funny to see you guys here!" Danny said with her arms wrapped around Tucker; who seemed like he didn't wanna be here.

"We were just gonna have some fun and bowl then boom! Here you guys are!" Mara says with a smile on her face.

Then here comes this new kid that seems about Mara's age. I have no clue who he is. But, he is Keith's cousin.

"Mara, there's the new kid. His name is Kevin Smith. Isn't he just adorable?" Danny asks.

I just roll my eyes and sit down. This is going to be a long night.

(MARA)

"Mara, there's the new kid. His name is Kevin Smith. Isn't he just adorable?" Danny asks me as I give this Kevin kid a look over.

I have to admit, he is hot, but, he also hangs around with the fuckboys, which is a total turn off. Damn, he has abs! You can see them through his shirt! Shit! Derrick is right behind me and I'm probably drooling. I turn around and Derrick is nowhere to be found.

"Danny, where did Derrick go?" I ask and she just shrugs.

I turn around to ask Katie, "Where'd he go?" And she doesn't know either.

I start working my way through the crowd of all the WGS and their boyfriends and I still can't find him. I get my phone out of my pocket and dial him.

Nothing.

I walk outside to get some service and he's on the edge of the stairs smoking.

"Babe, you had me worried sick!"

"Why? You didn't think you had a boyfriend when you were giving the new fuckboy a look over, did you?" He sorta raises his voice at me.

Oh shit. "Babe, I'm sorry. I mean, at least I wasn't all up in his face telling him he was hot like Sky was!"

He just looks at me. I just sit there and look at him.

"Derrick, you know I love you; always have, always will. I will admit, he is cute. But momma always said.."

"To stay away from the fuckboys, I know." He cut me off.

I just sit down beside him. I didn't mean for take it like that. UGH! I just sigh and walk back inside where everyone is surrounding Tucker and Danny. This is bad.

"What do you mean you don't love me anymore, Tucker?" Danny screams with tears rolling down her face.

"Be quiet. I mean that, I don't love you anymore, because I love somebody else." Tucker says almost whispering.

"Oh fuck this. Who's the bitch?" Danny yells and looks around. She looks at Sky, "it's you isn't it, you bitch!"

"Danny, Danny, no. It's not Sky." He looks for Kevin. Kevin nods his head about something and Tucker starts blabbing about something.

"You've been the cover up, Danny. For as long as we dated; a cover up. I'm gay. Why do you think Kevin just up and moved here in the middle of the semester? Cause he needed new friends? Ha!"

That son of a bitch. Before I can open my mouth, Danny has already opened hers. "So tell me this, you bastard. When you spent that weekend with me while my parents were gone and you and I fucked about a million times, were you gay then? Huh? Answer me that, asshole!"
