Chapter Eleven: Decisions, Decisions.

After almost seven hours pass by and we've finally gotten the house clean. Emma and Niall left about thirty minutes ago, so it's only Fred, Summer, Derrick, and I left with Cody and Katie.

"What happened? You know my rules Mara Lou." Katie says staring me in the eyes.

"I don't know, I guess the Halloween party got to us and we just lost our minds. And the party wasn't so great, but I'll tell you about it later tonight. I'm sorry, Katie."

She just stares at me, "Nope, you gotta tell me now."

"Well, Jacob and his two friends, Brandon and Ned, decided they were gonna come crash the party. You know it's kind of a habit to look through people's minds, so I looked through his while I was cussing him all to hell and back." I paused to look at her face, " Katie he said he still loved me and that he was stupid about dumping me over my best friend. I told Derrick part of that, but not the part about him being my best friend. So, what do I normally do when I get just a little upset? I run off by myself and start crying. That's exactly what I done. Five to ten minutes later, Summer showed up and was my shoulder to cry on, yada yada yada, then we went back downstairs." My voice traveled off.

"If you fixed everything between you and Jacob, I am officially gonna kill you."

"I did just that. Katie you could tell in his eyes that he was truly sorry. Joseph didn't have that look when he said he was sorry. I mean, he wasn't sorry for any of the shit he done to me. But back to the point," I look around to see if anybody was listening, "Katie, I love him. But you know he could do so much better than me..."

She cut me off, "You listen to me right now, sweetheart. He can't do any better than you. You know all of these girls in this town are either addicted to some kind of drugs or a walking mattress. You and him were literally perfect. But, so are you and Derrick. Looks like you've got a decision to make."

Shit, shit, shit. "Yeah, I know. Umm, is it possible if I go to Summers house tonight and Derrick stay here? I need some time to think."

"Yeah, that's fine. You know if you need me, I've got my phone on me 24/7." She pulled me into a hug and said, "You'll be alright, I promise. Now, tell everybody you're going and I'll keep Derrick here. What time is it anyways?"

"5:15. Thank you." I whisper as I turn to walk towards Derrick with tears in my eyes.

"Woah woah, what's wrong?" Derrick asks pulling me into a hug and I immediately start crying.

"I'm going to spend the night with Summer. Text me." That's all I say then I walk off. "Fred, can you drive me and Summer to her house? I'm spending the night."

"Sure can. Bye y'all!" Summer and Fred say together.

All I can say is, tonight's gonna be a long one.

"Now, tell me what's going on. You've been silent the entire way here." Summer says after Fred pulls out of her driveway.

I completely break down. I fall in her living room floor, crying my eyes out. "Why do I have to make this decision? Jacob or Derrick?" I scream.

"Hey, hey, calm down. Start from the beginning and tell me everything."

I practically tell her everything I told Katie and she just looks at me and tears forms in her eyes also. "I knew we were getting out of that party a little to quickly."

"Summer, I am so stuck. It's like I'm in a hole and I can't get back out."

"I was in the same boat, except for the mind reading part." She giggled a little then noticed I was still crying, "Sorry, bad time."
