The Clique: Drama Fest

Spa- Sunday, October 18- 6:39 pm

Massie's skin wrinkled after 45 minutes in the Jacuzzi. Her stress level was higher than ever. The spa was the only place she could think of to relax in peace. After spending the day with Brent, she felt sick after realizing she had TWO boyfriends to take care of. And she had a huge Haunted House to plan. Just thinking about all of this made her want to puke. 

She got too wrinkled so she got out of the Jacuzzi and dried herself with a fresh, cotton towel from the linen closet. She sat on one of the leather couches in the 'dry section' of the spa and warmed herself in front of the fireplace. Ashes flew everywhere, trying to escape the raging fire. But the fire was too powerful and sucked them all back into it's menacing shape. 

"Bean. I feel sick," Massie murmured into her hands. Bean's ears perked up but her eyes drooped. Whenever Massie was depressed, Bean held the same emotion. She was the only one who could understand her feelings and actually comfort her.

Bean got up from her comfy spot on the ottoman and raced to Massie, her face illuminated by the orange flicker of the fire.

"Bean, who should I choose? Who's better for me? Brent or Derrington?" Massie asked. She waited for Bean to answer, bark, or do some sort of movement. But Bean just sat there, staring right into Massie's amber eyes.

"Well, Brent's so nice and understanding. But Derrington's so funny and awesome and...," Massie started but didn't finish the sentence. 

"Whatever, the PC can help me with that later," Massie mumbled. The spa door opened, sending the cold running up Massie's back. Kendra stood in the doorway and quickly closed the doors.

"Massie, are you ok?" Kendra asked and put her arm around her daughter.

"I'm just stressed," Massie managed. Kendra patted Massie's back.

"I know how you feel, honey. In two weeks, the event will be done with. You shouldn't have to worry about it. Angelica and the other contractors have it all under control," Kendra assured.

"Yeah, you're right," Massie replied but she still felt horrible about Brent and Derrington. Kendra kissed Massie's forehead and stood up.

"You should come back in soon. You still have to finish your homework," Kendra advised. Massie nodded and threw on her romper. They both walked back to the house in silence. As soon as Massie got to her bedroom, she powered on her computer. As soon as it went to IM, she started typing.

MASSIEKUR: brent or derrington

Massie waited for a response but no one answered. The typing icon in the corner meant someone was writing a response.

HOLAGURL: i'm leaning more on brent but what makes them both special?

Massie thought for a second before typing. Her nails clicked on the keyboard as she typed.

MASSIEKUR: brent- cute, caring, nice.                            derrington- funny, cool, popular

HOLAGURL: now i think i'd choose derrington. P-O-P-U-L-A-R

MASSIEKUR: k thanks

Massie went to Dylan and typed the same exact thing:

MASSIEKUR: why do you think so???

BIGREDHEAD: brent doesn't have much friends, right? derrington had loads of them. popular + popular= POPULAR!!

The majority vote was on Derrington, so far. The last IM was to Kristen.

SEXYSPORTSBABE: hmm. well you've been with derrington for a LONG time. are you considering destroying the special bond with him?????? i mean brent's nice and all. but someone that nice has to be hiding...something.

MASSIEKUR: true. but what could he be hiding????

SEXYSPORTSBABE: i'm not sure. but you already know derrington's flaws which makes your relationship with him really strong. i'd go for derrington. 

MASSIEKUR: k thanks.

Massie logged off. Kristen had a great point. A boy can't be that perfect. She already had a good relationship with Derrington. Massie's heart thumped against her chest. She had a good feeling who she should choose.
