Alicia headed to the cafeteria to meet up with her friends for lunch. She opened the glass doors and went straight to Table 18. In the center were California Rolls, Evian waters, simple fruit salads, and yogurt parfaits. It was much more fancier than any other lunch day. All the girls were at the table already, waiting for Alicia to arrive so they could start piling food on their plates.
"She finally arrives!" Dylan joked and lifted fruit on her plate. Alicia took her seat and smiled.
"So, what is all this," Alicia asked curiously.
"It's our celebration because Claire's gone," Massie answered and chewed her California rolls. Alicia chose a yogurt parfait and sipped her Evian water.
"We should do this every day," Kristen observed. Alicia nodded. It would be great if everyday was like this. Fun and Claire-free.
The doors to the cafeteria swung open and there Claire stood with Layne. Claire wasn't red faced like she was earlier. She looked...normal.
Massie stabbed a strawberry. The PC was hoping that they'd hurt Claire's feelings for good. Claire began walking with Layne trailing behind.
Please don't come this way, Alicia thought. Please don't come here.
But Claire came right to Table 18.
"Got my text, Mass?" Claire asked with a huge smile on her face.
"Yeah, I did. It's stupid. And DON'T call me Mass," Massie rose, her amber eyes narrowing. Layne looked at the floor, obviously uncomfortable in this situation.
"Whatever. Oh, I texted Brent. I think we're hanging out this weekend," Claire announced, picking her cuticles like it the news was no big deal.
"Pshh. Why would you think that I care. He has no friends which makes him a loser. And besides, I'm with Derrington. No one is cuter than Derrington," Massie countered.
"Oh come on Massie. You know you like him. You even said it," Claire growled.
"Stop, don't talk to me. Loser, Lame-o, Wannabe. Like oh, totally," Massie sang. The Pretty Committee joined in.
"Stop, don't talk to me. Loser, Lame-o, Wannabe. Like oh, totally!" The girls shouted. Claire's face turned red. Really red.
The whole cafeteria began laughing along with the Pretty Committee. This should be jotted down somewhere. It's gonna go down in history, Alicia thought with a smile on her face.
Claire picked up Alicia's yogurt parfait and chucked it at Massie's wavy hair.
"Ehmagod!" Massie screeched. Kristen raced to her side with napkins in her hand. She began wiping the yogurt off of Massie's hair but Massie smacked her away.
"You seriously should get help. You've gone crazy!" Massie hollered. Everyone in the cafeteria watched the chaos.
"Oh, did I do that?" Claire asked innocently then prepared to throw another yogurt parfait but Kristen smacked the cup away before it hit Massie.
Layne backed away and ran back to her own table so she wouldn't get in trouble for the mess. Claire grabbed the California rolls and whipped them at Alicia, Dylan, and Kristen.
"Ahhhh!" the PC screamed as they ducked for cover.
"Miss Lyons! What on Earth are you doing?" a woman screeched. It was the Principal
"Uhh, these girls are torturing me!" Claire yelled.
"You're coming with me, Claire," she squawked and held Claire by the arm. After they both left the cafeteria, classmates came up to Massie to make sure they were all alright.
"We're fine. But seriously, stay away from her," Massie warned. Alicia, Dylan, and Kristen nodded in agreement.
Everyone understood and went back to their usual lunch procedures. The PC began humming the song again and laughed.
"Wait! Don't laugh! I have yogurt in my hair!" Massie exclaimed. They muttered sorry's to her.
Massie took out her PalmPilot and began tapping away.
"What are you doing?" Alicia asked.
Massie finished and showed the girls what was on her PalmPilot.
