"Ok everyone! This is very important! Just do what you're supposed to do and you won't get fired!" Angelica shouted to all the workers. Massie and Derrington stood near her and listened politely. Alicia, Dylan, and Kristen would be coming any minute now.
"I assigned everyone their jobs. If you didn't get your job or, god forbid me, FORGOT your job, the list will be on this table over here," Angelica announced. Alicia's limo pulled into the driveway. Massie smiled and raced over to greet her friends.
"Hey!" Dylan hollered. "How's it going?"
"We just started going over jobs and dumb stuff like that," Massie rolled her eyes. Derrington waved to Massie's friends and walked over.
"Hey guys," Derrington greeted. The girls waved to him and a chorus of hey's and hi's followed. They all went back to Angelica to finish hearing her orders.
"Now break!" Angelica called one last time and got to work. On two tables, Venti coffee's, hot chocolate's, and latte's were spread out.
"So what's your job?" Derrington asked. "I'm a lifting guy." Derrington put his arm up to show his muscle.
"I actually have no idea," Massie laughed and walked to the list to see what her job was.
"I'm a designer," Massie said with happiness in her voice. "Dylan's checking all the food. Alicia's a decorator and Kristen's gonna set up the actual Haunted House."
"Move! We have limited time!" Angelica yelled at them. They all cackled and went off in their separate ways. Massie walked to the living room where her job was. Seven other girls and women had a bunch of drawings and designs laid out all over the coffee table.
"Should we make the balloons purple or black?" One of the women asked.
"Why not both?" Massie replied. They looked up to see who the voice came from.
"Massie! There you are!" Melanie, one of Kendra's friends, announced. Massie made a tiny little wave.
"We're going over the front entrance right now. Your mother said you'd be great at designing," Melanie smiled. Massie sat down on the couch and began pouring her ideas and thoughts out.
Dylan POV
Dylan loved her job. Food, food, and food! She'd come up with great food ideas and the event would be fantastic! In the kitchen, the only person she knew there was Inez, the Block's housekeeper. One teenage girl was there with three adults.
"We definitely need healthy snacks. Too much candy would be just awful," One thin woman said. Another woman shook her head.
"This is a Halloween party, Susie. Angelica would be POed if we had healthy snacks," One woman said.
"This is brutal," The teenage girl said. Dylan nodded.
"Who would have healthy treats at a Halloween party?" Dylan asked.
"Her," The girl replied and pointed to the really skinny woman. They covered their mouths so their laughter wouldn't be heard. "I'm Paige."
"I'm Dylan," Dylan introduced herself. Paige had smooth hair and was actually really pretty.
"I volunteered working here. It sounded pretty fun," Paige chirped, leaning on the counter.
"My friend, Massie, wanted me and our other friend's help with setting this up," Dylan bellowed. Dylan searched her brain, looking for any familiarity of Paige. She seemed really familiar but she couldn't put her finger on it.
