I was just sitting there on my bed, thinking about what I had done. I had almost killed Eli in this game, which could've killed him in real life. What kind of friend was I? I was the one who provoked him, and I squeezed his throat. The worst part is, I just lost my friends for good this time. It was hard to think about. The more I thought about it, the more I knew . . . I have to make this right! I looked in one of our chests, and I grabbed out the Wither Skull. I'm going to kill the Wither, and get us one step closer to getting out of here!
I ran straight through the Nether Portal. This time, it was a different experience. This time, it was more like I was running through a tunnel and ending up in a fiery dimension of space. I ended up in a different place than I did last time. But, of course, the others did travel here and get a Wither Skull. Maybe they moved the location of the portal in the Nether. Now that Minecraft was given realism, it felt like a totally different game. You had to charge enchanted weapons (with a mana type energy) in order to actually use them, you could have two people in a bed at a time, and not to mention you could smelt golden apples! And the graphics, I wasn't just playing a child's game anymore, but another reality. I was looking around for a Nether Fortress, and I was really lucky, because there was one just to my right! Perfect. I ran toward it, avoiding all the hostile Nether mobs that could one-shot me, and I climbed up it. And you could climb up walls! This game isn't Minecraft anymore, but a totally new game. Like, Minecraft: Virtual Reality. I climbed to the top of the fortress, and I got on the bridge-type structure, that is often your way in a Nether Fortress in normal Minecraft. I ran in. I immediately ran into a blaze, literally! I got so pissed off, it started shooting fireballs at me. I ran away, down the hallway to my right. The blaze managed to get me, though. I felt the pain of a heat that was slowly increasing as my HP was decreasing. I quickly got out a Notch Apple, and I ate it. Those things do wonders. I know I should've brought a couple fire resistance potions as well, but I wasn't thinking about it. Besides, the amount of time on this Notch Apple is longer than normal, since time inside of here is like time in the real world.
I took out an item that was converted into codes along with me. It was a picture of me and Natalie before we broke up. That was before I died my hair, so it was basically forever ago. Man, I can't even think about the real world. I can only think about if I can get my friends back or not. I put the picture away, and got out a new item: my sword. I looked to my far right and saw a black colored mob. I found what I was looking for, Wither Skeletons! I ran after it, and it charged for me. I charged my sword's energy, and jumped over the Wither Skeleton, slicing its skull in midair. Unfortunately, it did the same to me. While I was in midair, it ended up slicing its sword deep into my chest. As I landed on the ground. I noticed I had the Wither effect, an effect that makes your HP invisible, and constantly makes you take damage. And I felt it alright. It felt like I was decaying, or like something was eating away at me. But I wasn't decaying. Just my HP going down, me not being able to see it. But the Notch Apple quickly kicked in, healing my HP to the top every time one tick of my HP went down. It still hurt, but it was bearable. I got up from my knees, and jabbed my sword into the Wither Skeleton as the energy charged. That did more efficient damage. The Wither Skeleton glitched, frozen in time, for a second until I ripped my sword out. As it converted into codes, fading from existence, its head fell off. I had the second Wither Skull. I need one more.
I turned around to look for Wither Skeletons, and I got lucky, because there was a big crowd of them. As soon as I turned my head toward them, they charged after me. I charged the energy on my sword, hearing the massive hum. It was also illuminating the whole room from its massive, growing light. As it hummed, it also vibrated, pulling me toward the Wither Skeletons. I ran while the vibrations pulled me, creating a super speed effect with my running. It was faster then a swiftness potion, because I charged through all those Wither Skeletons in two seconds, killing them all. I turned behind my back and saw that they were glitched, frozen in time, as they converted into codes and faded from existence. I saw that out of all those Wither Skeletons, only one dropped a skull. That was very lucky. I think I leveled up this sword big time! I had all three skulls, and all I needed now was soul sand.
I went to the lower levels of the fortress and gathered some soul sand. This game was very realistic. To gather the soul sand, you had to cup it like sand in your hand. And whenever you got near the soul sand, it would make a strange noise, like a hum, a howl, and a scream at the same time. It also actually looked like souls were moving through it. Maybe that's how the Wither comes to life. I never thought about that . . . This realistic game that used to be Minecraft, is starting to make me think about a lot of stuff. About Ethan . . . about Steven . . . about Eli . . . about Natalie . . .
Will they ever forgive me? Or will they begin to hate me, me ending up alone. I dug through Nether-rack to make an area with low ceilings (so the Wither can't fly away) and pretty closed in (so I can get a couple of hits as soon as it spawns). I took out the soul sand and literally dropped it. When it hit the ground, the impact puffed it up, making it take form. That form was a body with arms but no legs. I was ready. I placed down the first skull on the left arm, the second skull being placed on the right. I got out the final skull, and I thought, I'm keeping my promise to you, Natalie. And Ethan. And . . . Eli. I quickly placed the final skull in the middle, charging the energy on my sword. I saw a creature with three heads, skulls. A creature with a rib cage for a body, spine hanging out like a tail. I saw its HP going up, and my sword started to try to pull me toward it. The Wither's HP went all the way up, and I let the sword launch me toward this boss. I had my sword aimed at it. I was in midair, focused on my objective: Kill all the bosses! That includes the Wither.
But I started to second guess myself, because one of its projectiles was hurtling toward me! It hit me, giving off a huge explosion, and more importantly, giving me the Wither effect. And I began to realize that the Notch Apple ran out. I was in pain, lying on the searing hot ground. I took damage from getting knocked back, and it didn't help the fact that the Wither effect was getting worse and worse. The Wither got right up in front of me. My HP decreased to one-and-a-half hearts. And the Wither was getting a projectile ready. I was gonna die. I was gonna die . . .
