Enter The Wither

     I was gonna die. I was gonna die . . . Or, at least that's what I thought. I saw light, and I saw a figure appear after the light disappeared. It was Natalie. She gave me a Notch Apple, and my health regenerated back to full health. She helped me up.

    "Mitchell . . . Thank God, you're okay!"

    "What are you doing here? It's not safe!"

    "Are you kidding me? I wouldn't leave you to die!"

    "Exactly! What she said!" Ethan agreed, charging in on the Wither. Eli got in front of the Wither, charging the energy on his enchanted sword.

    "Eli?" I said. "What are you doing here?"

    "My friend needed me," he answered, looking at me with a sincere look.

    "Watch out!" Ethan warned, a Wither projectile going toward Eli. I jumped in front of the projectile, swinging at it with my sword. Surprisingly, it actually deflected back at the Wither. Eli looked up at me, surprised.

    "Man, you dodged a bullet for me!"

    "Hey, my friend needed me," I recalled. Eli got a more happy look on his face after I said that.

    "Hey!" Ethan told us. "Are you done with your bromance yet? We really need to kill this thing!"

    "Yeah, Ethan's right!" Natalie told me. "Call it! What's the plan?"

We all stood in a formation, with me in front, being the leader sort of. I looked at it for weaknesses. I had it!

    "Now that this is Minecraft VR, it has more realistic gameplay! You can do things you couldn't normally do in normal Minecraft! So that thing now has weaknesses, including the spine! The spine is exposed, so if we destroy the spine, we destroy it!"

    "Sounds like a plan!" Natalie agreed.

    "Let's move!"

We spread into a circle around it. It couldn't decide which one of us to hit. It finally decided Natalie. The projectile almost hit her, but she shot an arrow at the projectile, destroying the projectile and managing to hit the Wither.  I saw her hair flowing from the wind given off by the explosion, and she looked so beautiful . . . And badass. Two areas where looks matter. It decided its next target, so we moved our circle. It was originally gonna be Eli, but we move dour circle, so Ethan ended up being the target. Ethan hit the projectile with his enchanted axe, destroying the projectile. He jumped and let the axe hit the Wither. It took damage, even screeched. But it wasn't defeated yet. It turned around while it screeched, and Natalie shot an enchanted arrow into its mouth. It screeched as it took more damaged. Eli charged the energy on his sword and hit the Wither in the side. The side of its ribcage was cracked open. I charged my sword up all the way, letting it pull me toward the Wither, and I floated toward the ceiling, slicing its head in midair. As I sliced its head, I let the sword pull me down, slicing down the ribcage. The sword reached the end of the ribcage, losing the slice. I jumped, jabbing at its spine. When it died, there was an explosion that did no grieving, like an explosion just for show. And I realized, we were 2/3 of the way there, to the real world. What does the real world feel like? What does it sound like, smell like, even taste like? I've seem to forgotten. Then, the "decorative" explosion turned into a dark figure that I could see nothing of but two light sources, illuminating the whole room. It was Herobrine. Everyone else knew, too, and became really cautious.

    "What do you want, Herobrine?!"

    "Oh, I just wanted to congratulate you for beating the second boss. Notch didn't get that far. He had to kill me to get back to the real world."

    "Wait, you put Notch through this, too?"

    "Yeah, when he coded himself into the game to deal with me directly. I made sure he couldn't escape, and he ended up killing the Elder Guardian, but he didn't beat the Wither. He gave up! He had to battle me to beat the game!"

    "Why are you doing this to us? Why did you do this to players before us?!"

    "Because they tried to control my world! A world that I could play God in, and shape it as my own! I can't lose that power!"

    "You fucker!" Eli shouted. "You have power even in the Minecraft VR! Just let us go and continue your reign!"

    "Well, funny you ask that, 'cause I was about to make an offer, to Mitchell."

    "What, Herobrine?"

    "I'm gonna give you another chance to battle me. If you kill me, I'll let you out of the game!"

I thought about it for quite a while, my friends surprised. "No, Herobrine . . . I'm not gonna fight you! You are an evil bastard! I am not gonna trust that this deal is legit! I tried once, and you cheated the game! I'm not making that mistake again!"

    "Why, you little-" Herobrine glitched toward us, acting like he was going to kill us, but then the dimensions around us glitched into something else - our house.

    "What happened?" Natalie asked.

    "He probably messed with us! Herobrine has a tendency to mess with players!" Ethan explained.

    "You're right," Eli agreed, "and he probably reset our achievements, too!"

But then, I saw a new achievement pop up. It said, The Beginning.
