The Bite

Truth.

     "What are you talking about you can't be my sister" I ask her. "I am" she say. "My mom left when I was young so you can't be" I say. I turn around and start to walk away when she stops me. "Let me explain" she says. "No, they're is nothing to explain. I know it isn't true" I said. "Well please if you just listen to me then you will understand everything" she begs me. "Fine, you have 5 minutes. Start talking" I say.

    She had brought me to a room that is more quiet. We were sitting down, across from each other. "Our parents were married. But, they got a divorce when we were young. We had two older siblings. Two older brothers, the older one is Jessie. The second oldest one is Kevin. Mom wanted to keep both of us. But, dad refused. He wanted one of us and picked you. Jessie, Kevin, and I went with mom. We lived in Italy for awhile. But, never stay in one place over 6 months. Mom, was always afraid that Dad would find her and take us away" she explained.

    "If your story is true. Which I highly doubt, just like I doubt this whole "vampire" thing if true. Then, who is Emily's mom" I asked "How did you even find me". "I had been doing some research on you. I first found some pictures of me as a baby and a girl who looked like me in the same pictures. When I asked mom she denied everything. Told me it was a cousin who had died in a car crash. But, Kevin told me everything. I searched you and found you on facebook. I went through every Autumn. Since I didn't have your last name. I found a facebook with a girls picture who look just like me. I knew it was you" she told me.

    "How did you know where to look for me" I asked her. "Your facebook had everything on. All your information. Which is really dangerous because it wasn't to hard to find where you lived once I got your facebook. I didn't know you a vampire. I didn't even know you would be down here" she said. "I'm not a vampire because there is no such thing" I said. "If your not a vampire then how the hell did you know about this place" she asked. "I didn't I was running and I just fell". "Well, I know you can't be a vampire" she said. "How and there is no such thing" I asked. "Because if your a witch you can't turn into a vampire. It's highly impossible" she said.

   "Did you just say witch" I asked. "Yes, I said witch. Jessie, Kevin, you, me and I think Emily is a witch too. But, were all witches" she told me. "No we're not. You and everyone else down here needs to be locked away in a metal hospital" I yell, getting up I run to the door. As I reach for the doorknob it locks. I turn around and look at her. "Your going to stay and listen. How could I have done that if I wasn't a witch" she asked me. "I don't know. Maybe it was a ghost" I tell her. "Oh, so you believe in ghost but, not witches" she asked me. "No I don't believe in either. But, if I had to pick one it would be ghost" I say.

   "Well, let me show you some other things" she say. She reaches into her bag and pull out a photo book. "Come look through these and tell me if you believe me" she says. Me being curious go sit down next to her. I pull the book from her hands slowly, as if any second the book if going to attack me. I look inside. There pictures of a school. It says witch craft. There's picture of people doing spells. There's picture that are so impossible to do.

   "This can't be" I say. I pretty sure my body has just gone into shock. "Well, it is and if you lived with mom then, you would have gone to the same school as everyone in those pictures went to" she said, pulling me over into a hug. I jump up and push her away. "No there is no such thing as vampires, witches, or ghost" I yell and run to the door. This time it isn't locked.

   I'm running through the hall ways. I running into people and knocking the over. I get to the hole where I fell from. I jump and try to get in but, it's no luck. After, about 5 minutes of trying Eric comes. "What are you doing" he asked me. "Getting out of this place. I don't belong. It's filled with metal people just like you" I tell him. He picks me up and throws me over his shoulder. I try to put of a fight but, it's no use. He puts me down and conor's me up against the wall. "Are you done throwing this little temper tantrum" he asks me. I stop hitting him. I look over his shoulder and I see my "witch sister". She yells some words that aren't English and Eric falls to the floor. He looks dead. "Come on we don't have much time till we wakes up" she says, running over to me. 

  "This is how were going to get out" she says. She point to a wall. It looks like there's nothing there besides wall. She goes over to it and says some more words in a different language. The wall opens but, it's so small I have to crawl through it. "Come on, get down and go" she said. Pushing me down. I think of my choices stay with the "vampires" or go with this girl who could be my sister. I choose my sister. I crawl through the little door.

    My sister crawls in after me. We keep crawling for awhile. Finally there's another door above our heads. The sunlight is seeping through. I pull it up and climb threw. Where it the woods. "Where do we go know" I ask. "Back to my home. You can where all of my clothes. It looks like we're the same size" she says looking at the dress I'm wearing. My red dress is all dirty and the heels I'm wearing one has a broken heel and another the strap is falling off. "Are we in America" I ask. "No, we are in Canada" she tells me. "Woah, how did we get all the way over here" I ask. "Magic". "Funny" I whisper.

   We are walking through the woods and I realize I don't even know this girls first name. "What is your name" I ask her. "Winter. Our mom had a thing for seasons. Before she had Kevin she was a hippie. She always knew if she had daughters she would name then Winter and Autumn" Winter says, smiling at me. "How are we getting back to your house" I ask. "Boat" she tells me. "If you are a witch can't you just fly us there" I ask. "I could but, it would take to much time and energy so I just do it by boat" she said.

    We had finished our walk through the woods and had gotten to where we need to be. We where by the water on a dock. Winter walked on the dock and jumped into a big boat. "I thought you said boat not yacht" I said. "Well, yeah sorry I forget to mention that we have money" she said. "I tell you everything once you get on the boat" she tells me. I get on the yacht and Winter untied the rope of the dock and starts the boat.

    "Mom didn't always have money. She just got married to a man who has tons of it. He has three sons and two daughters. We had to move when she married him. He lives in this mansion. Well, it's more like the size of a castle. We have lived there for about 7 months. It's alright there but, it's so big that each of us kids has like there own house as a room" she told me. "So how is Emily mom's daughter" I ask. "Well, dad wasn't happy with the fact that mom left him and took us kids. So he had some people that worked for him track her down. Dad wanted one more kid. Eight years later the guys he sent out had found her" she told me. "What do you mean us kids? Mom took me with her too? Why did she even leave him" I ask. "Dad doesn't have that nice of a job. Mom didn't like it from the start. He told her he didn't have a choice on what he did. The jobs had always ran in the family. He is like a myhical creature hunter. When, they found her they were going to take us and kill her. Her only other choice was to give up the some eggs. It's like when some donates there eggs to a place that sells them. Well she did that and gave it to the guys. But, they always took you" she said.

    "Why did she come for me" I ask. "It wasn't that easy. She tried to but, if she went into America Dad would have known she was there. He had people out looking for her all over the country and even out of the country. That's why we were always moving around from house to house. But she re-married and he lived into a house that was deep into the woods. No one could every find it and plus the woods a Private. He owns the whole thing" she says. "Is there a bed on this boat" I ask, already knowing the answer. "Yeah there's one down stair. You can sleep in my bed" she says.

   I walk down the stairs, tired. Today has been full of confusing, danger, and a whole lot of the truth. But, I'm so tired I don't even want to think about it. I just want to pretend like me life is still normal like it was a month ago. I get into her bed and fall into a deep sleep.
