The Bite

The Room

    I woke up from the bright sun cracking through my window. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I smiled thinking about what had happened last night. I looked over at the other side of my bed and frowned. Eric wasn't there. There was a note on my nightstand. I crawled over to the other side of my bed and grabbed the note. It said "Autumn, I had to leave before the sun rose and I didn't want to wake you. Go to the woods at sun down. -Eric". I smiled when I realized he left a rose for me. I picked it up and smelled it, thinking to myself how I couldn't wait for tonight. 

   I change into a pair of shorts and tank top. I had still been in my dress from last night. My hair and makeup were a mess. I tie my hair back with a hair tie and washed my face clean of all the makeup. I dried my face off with a towel. I walked out of my bathroom and into my bedroom. After making my bed I walked out into the hall way. Even before I could take two steps someone tackled me. I fell to the ground, as with the person who jumped on me. I realized it was Winter when I heard her laughing. "That was funny" I said, smaking her playfully. She still laughed. "It really was though" she said, through her laughter. I rolled my eyes and smiled. It was funny, but I wasn't going to admit it. "So where did you go last night" she asked, when her laughing stopped. "Uh I went home with someone else" I said, looking away from her. "Okay" she said. I looked up shocked. She didn't ask me any other questions. Is she sick? "Are you feeling okay" I asked her. "Yeah, why wouldn't I be? Anyway let's go get breakfast because after I have to show you something" she said. 

   Breakfast was amazing. There was eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, and pastries. There were even somethings I had no idea about. I filled up my plate, enjoying this meal. I haven't had a breakfast this good in awhile. When I was all done I looked down at my plate sadly. I ate everything. "Come on fattie" Winter said, laughing. I glared over at her "I don't want to get up" I said. "Your coming with me" she said, grabbing my wrist and pulling me so I was forced to stand up. 

   "Where are we going" I asked, curiously. "You'll see" she said in a tone that made her sound creepy. She opened a door that had a staircase. We walked down it. Each step made a creak. When we were at the bottom she turned that lights on. It was a very tiny room with train tracks. It made it look like the subway. "What the hell" I asked. She just grinned at me. She turned to a big box and pressed a button. I heard a whoosh and there was a train. It was small, but still big for a house. "Let's go" she said, motioning for me to step in. I looked closely. I was confused, I didn't like suprises. I decided to step in the train. She stepped in right after me, closing the door.

   She pressed another button on the train. Once she did it started to go. I didn't say anything on the ride because I knew she wouldn't tell me anything. After a couple of minutes the train came to a halt. The train doors opened and Winter stepped out. I was alittle nervous too, but I did anyway. There was a narrow hallway. It was dark, but at the end there was a light. We starting walking in the hallway towards the light. I stayed behind Winter because there wasn't really room for me to stand next to her. 

   The hallway was really long, but we finally got there. The light was only I lit room. Winter and I stood in there. I looked around in awe, not saying a word. After alittle while of silence I asked "What is this". "Since you are a witch, I thought you should learn spells" she said, grinning at me. "Really" I asked her. Since the day I found out I was a witch, I wanted to learn spells. "Yes, I already talked it out with mom and the boys. They are going to help youu learn. Me too" she said. "Oh thank you" I said, running to her and hugging her.

   I sat on a chair listening to Winter tell me about witches. "Well we think that our witch line started out with our many greats grandmother, Rosanna. She died in Salem with other witches too. She was young when she died, only maybe 18. She had used to live in Italy, but when she had a baby her town hated her. It was very wrong to have a kid out of wedlock. She left and came to America. Where she met a group of people, who were witches. They tought her spells. When people found out about them they went to the house they where all staying in a burned it" she said, sighing. "It's so horrible what those people did to them" I said. "It is" she said back.
