The Bite

He's back.

     I jumped into the bushes just in time to save myself from getting caught. What were they even talking about? I know it was something that had to do with me. But, I didn't know what it was. I just needed to find out.

    After, a couple of minutes in the bushes. I decide that know one was there. I creeped out of the brushes and spirited for the door. "Didn't think you could leave so easily, did you" a voice asked. I froze, they weren't talking to me, we they? "You have to come back" the same voice said. I recognized that voice. It was Eric.

   I spirted for the fornt door, but I ran into something hard. "Where you trying to get away from me" he asked. I had ran into Eric. Damn he is hard. "N-no" I stutter. He pulled me to my feet. "Now there is no reason to be scared of me. I just need to talk to you" he told me.

   We were sitting on chairs that he had found. "So w-why did you need to t-talk to me" I asked. "You left" he said. "Yeah, I know". "But, I told you. You are my mate now. I bit you. We're bonded" he told me. I laughed. "Seriously" I asked. "Stop laughing. I am being serious" he said. "Okay, listen. I believe the whole vampire and witch thing. But, I am not a vampire. So that means we're not mates" I told him. "You can't be a vampire, your a witch. But, I did bite you. That mean you are my mate. Vampire or not" he said. "Well, maybe I don't want to be your mate" I said. "Well, I don't want to be yours either, but your the one who got the bite. Which mean we are internally bonded" he said.

   "That's not fair" I yelled. He put his hand over my mouth quickly. "Be quiet. You're going to wake everyone up" he whispered. "Get off me" I pushed him back, but he didn't move. "I don't really want to talk right now. Just I'll talk to you in the morning" I told him. "I can't be outside in the sunlight" he said. "Oh, yeah. That's right. Well, to bad" I said, smirking and running into the house. I closed the door behind me and walked up the stairs.

   When I got to the top I realized that I didn't have anywhere to sleep. Winter and I got into a fight and I didn't know where he quest room was. I could probably go make up with Winter. But, that would mean I wasn't mad at her. Which I was. I walked back down the stairs to find the kitchen.

  I heard noise coming from the room I think was the kitchen. I hoped it wasn't Eric. Maybe it was the maid. They lived here, right? I opened the door fast and jumped in. Ready to fight. I heard a scream and then I screamed.

   "Ohmigod, I didn't mean to scare you" I said. "No, it's okay" he told me. It was the other step brother. "I'm Autumn" I said. "I know" he said, smirking at me. "I'm Nick". "What are you doing in the kitchen, this late" I asked. "Well, I could ask you the same thing. But, if you really want to know. I was getting something to eat. I usually eat food in the middle of the night. I know it isn't good for you. But, I can't help it. Now it's your turn. Why are you in the kitchen, this late" he asked. "Thirsty" I lied. "Okay"  said. 

    We were sitting across from each other. Eating cereal. "So where is the quest room" I asked him. "I thought you were going to sleep in Winter's room" he said. "Yeah I was, but we got into a fight" I told him, looking down at my bowl. "Wow, so you guys have just found each other and your already fighting" he said, smirking at me. "Yeah I know" I said, blushing. "When were done I'll get you there" he said.

   We were finished eating and put the dishes in the dish washer. Nick was taking me to the quest room. I was following him down the long hallway. We finally stop at a blue door. "Here it is" he said. He held the door for me and I stepped in. I turn the light on and saw that the whole room was beach themed. "Wow this reminds me of summer" I said. Nick laughed. "Yeah your mother loves that beach feeling" he said. I flinched. It is weird to have someone that hasn't know myy mom for long, know so much more about her. "Um, thanks. I fine now" I said. I felt breathing on my neck and turned around. Nick face was so close to mine. "What are you doing" I asked. He pulled me towards him and his lips crushed mine. It was nice kiss. It felt better than any other kiss before. Oh gosh, Autumn get a hold of yourself. I pushed him back. "What the hell was that for" I yelled. "Calm down. It didn't seem like you didn't like it" he said, winking and walking out. 

   Nick was on my bad list. I needed to watch out for that guy. I layed in bed and went to sleep.

   The sun was cracking through the windows. "Morning". I turned over. "Oh it's just you" I said, looking at Winter. See was laying next to me. "You say it like it's a bad thing" she said, disappointed. "Well, right now it kind of is" I mutter under my breath. "I know your mad. But you have to understand. Your dad wasn't nice to my mom" she said. "Do you have any proof" I spat. "My mom says". I cut her off "I don't give a shit what she said. Okay? You don't know him. I do! I live with him. He isn't bad at all. Your mom is the one we should all be blaming here for losing me" I spat. "She couldn't get you back it was too dangerous" she protested. "Even if I was 'kidnapped' by my own dad, then she still should have tried to get me back. But, she didn't and you would be mad if you were in my spot" I said. "You know what? I probably would be upset. Whatever. Let's just go downstairs and get breakfast. I'm sorry" Winter said, jumping off the bed. "It's okay" I smiled at her. 

    We ate breakfast and talked about what we were going to do. When we were done the maid came and cleaned up everything. "Get ready" Winter told me. "Okay, we are we going" I asked. "It's a suprise" Winter said, winking at me.

   I was ready and waiting downstairs for Winter. Everything from last night came back to me. Where had Eric gone? I was nervous to go outside. But, vampires can't be out in the sun. I open the door and slowly step outside. I had to adjust my eyes to the bright sun. I couldn't see Eric. But, the more I thought about it the more I had to know where he was. I walked down the concert steps and fast walked into the woods. He could be anywhere by now. I just had to find him.

Hey everyone! I'm an so so sorry for like uploading this a month later. School, cheerleading, and dance has been crazy. But, I have like a 5 day week end so I'm going to be uploading like two chapters each day! After the weekend ends I probably won't be able to upload for a while. But, I'm super sorry!
