The Bite

Surprise!

   I woke up and my head was pounding. When, I sat up I didn't notice the room. It was a dark colored room and the lights were very dim. I couldn't really remember any thing. I looked around for a door but, I couldn't see to well. I got up and my legs collapsed on me. I hit the ground and it made a loud boom. I crawl over to the walls and felt around for a doorknob. That's when everything came back to me. The party, the hole, the bite. I couldn't remember anything after the bite. So I must have faint.

    I found a doorknob but it was locked. I starting crying. I crawled over to the bed and climb up on it. I have no idea what day or time it is. I don't even know where Eric is. I had so many questions running through my mind. Like was I stuck here forever? Is Eric crazy? Why the hell did he bite me?! Or was I going to die? I had so many more but, as I thought of them I began to get tired.

   I layed down in the bed. But, I couldn't fall asleep. I tossed and turned but, still couldn't. I sat up. I feel so tired but, I'm not at all. I got up off the bed and my legs held me up this time. But, the still were a little sore. Actually my whole body was sore and in pain. I touched my neck where Eric had bit me. There were two hole wounds. This is all real.

   I grabbed a book and starting to read it. I was about halfway through when I heard the door being unlocked and open. I layed down really fast and pretending like I was sleeping. "I know you aren't sleeping" he said. I didn't answer him. I just kept pretending like I was asleep. He pulled the blankets off my body. "Get up" he said in a threatening tone. I sat up, I was to scared of what he would do to me if I didn't.

   "Why did you bite me" I asked him. "It was the only way to keep you alive but, technically your not really alive" he said. "What" I asked him "Your crazy". "No I'm not" he said "Your now one of us. Your like me". "What are you" I asked. "I'm a vampire" he said, smirking at me. "Your a what" I asked him. I started to laugh at what he had just said. Okay either this guy is totally nuts or he is just joking. "I can read your mind" he told me "I'm not joking". Oh he is probably a good guesser. Anyone could have just guessed what I was thinking if they told me they we're vampires.

   He showed me somethings that sort of made me believe him. So if he was a vampire and he said I was just like him now then that means I'm one too. Oh, no. I can't be one. I have to take care of Emily and dad. I have to go to school. I have to many responsibility's to be a vampire.

   "There's also something else I have to tell you" he said in a low voice. "What is it" I asked "Because it can't get any worse than it is right now". "Well, if a vampire bites a mortal than she or he is his or her's mate for life" he said. "What" I yelled "I'm your mate"? "Yes" he said. "What does that even mean" I asked. "Well, we have to marry and have kids" he told me. "Have kids" I asked. "Yes, if it was up to me we wouldn't have kids or I wouldn't have even bitten you". "What isn't it up to you about the having kids thing" I asked. "It's a tradition in our kind. We had an attack a couple years ago, from mortals. Are population decreased a lot. Now it's sort of like a law we have to follow" he told me. "Okay, this is just so much information to handle. I need to sleep" I said. "Well you couldn't if you tried to" he told me. "Why". "Because vampires can't sleep" he said "Don't you know that"? "No sorry I didn't get the book on all the information about vampires. I didn't think I would even be needing such thing. Is there even a thing" I ask. "No, but with all the movies and books I thought you would know" he said rolling his eyes. I could tell he didn't like all the movies and books. "There to many different type of vampires" I say, rolling my eyes too.

   "What was that party that they were having" I ask "It looked like a club". "Yes, it was a club. We try to have things that us vampires enjoy up in the real world, down here". "Can we go" I asked. I'm a little bit curious. "Do you really want to go" he asked. "Yeah" I nod my head.

    Were down in the "club" and it's just like yesterday. People are everywhere and I make may way over to the bar. "Can I have a water" I ask. "Yeah, sure" he gives me a funny look.

    After I'm done with my water I decide that this place isn't for me. I feel so out of place and I'm wearing the same dress as yesterday. My hair is probably a mess and I defiantly have bad breath. I making my way back to Eric when someone taps on my shoulder. I turn around it's a girl who looks around my age. But, she looks just like me. Same hair color, same eyes, same nose, and mouth. Same height even. We look like twins. "Who are you" I ask. "Surprise, it's me. Your sister. Your twin sister. You remember me right" she ask.
