A New Old World

Moving on to bigger grounds

Ray and Jhin both took a while to react, the newcomer Mario had just defeated a Class S Creature: Behemoth, had spoken and acted irregularly as well as his gauntlet having turned black while all of this happened and turned back to white after he had passed out

"That was...impressive, He didn't have this much power when training before. What do you think about all this Ray?" Asked Jhin as he stepped closer to Mario to check on him

"He came after us after I told him not to,  breaking a direct order from a superior so we have to take him back to report him in, don't we?" replied Ray as he helped Jhin to pick up Mario and took him back 

As they drive back Jhin had a groom look on his face 

"You wondering if he is one of them?" Asked Ray 

Jhin shook his face and replied "I was considering at first but he walked in the base without injures or any reaction...Maybe he is like those who join the Sunset Warriors, one who can wield both sides of the whole, which means he'll have to change teams and I'll stay as the newcomer for a while longer" Jhin laughed as he hit the side angrily 

"Haven't even been a day and you already attached? You won't last long if you let your feelings guide you. I will talk with the Boss to see how are we to proceed so take him to a healing room and wait for us to arrive" 

Ray walked away and into the light while Jhin took Mario to a special room which looked more or less like a infirmary with a bed, some medicines on a shelf and a machine shaped like a solar panel sticking out from the ceiling.

I woke up in a rush and fell off the bed as I looked around and found Jhin laughing at a comic book 

"Oh , you woke up! Welcome back to the world of the living! Technically. How are you feeling? What can you remember?" he asked me

"I remember falling and landing on this weird place then having a weird nightmare and....The Behemoth! Did you beat him? How did we escape?" I asked looking around for Ray wondering if he was injured as well

"You took him down single handy, it was a really one sided fight to be honest. How come you didn't show that much power when you were training?" 

"Well it seems whenever I summon a weapon I gain abilities I don't possess but the after effect are really bad, it overuses my body which is surprising after this one sided fight you said I had and I feel no pain at all"

"That's because of that beauty on the ceiling, it boosts your natural regeneration by ten times so what would have taken days or months to heal can be healed in hours or even minutes!" 

Ran and the Boss walked in interrupting my conversation with Jhin as he steps back and the Boss comes closer

"I am pretty sure Jhin has told you about what happened already so I'll be fast, You seem to have the ability to manipulate both sides of the whole, which means you can use both light and darkness weapons. This doesn't mean that you are evil nor good but it means that you are a candidate to the Sunset Warriors and so I need you to come meet me up in person to introduce you with someone from the Sunset Warriors to give you further details" 

"What do you mean by meeting you in person? Aren't we talking to each other already?" I said confused

The boss laughed as his skin, clothes and armor turned into a purple like stone then back to normal "This is but a Golem I made up with the help of a friend to monitor all the bases we have which is why I have the title of "The boss", they do have a fighting power but they are not as strong as me of course!" he said smiling as he turned toward Ray and whispered him something before walking toward the exit light "You'll be leaving with Jhin in the morning so rest for now, I'll have reinforcements coming to back Ray up as soon as you leave so you won't have to worry about anything here" he said as he left alongside Ray 

"Did you know about the Boss not being really him?" I asked Jhin 

"Of course I did! I have already been to the Command Center too, which reminds me of the reason of me leaving that place... I hope she is not around when we arrive" replied Jhin as his voice turned a little bit nervous at the end as he stood up and excused himself leaving in a rush

"You have started to be annoying... Do you have any idea how much it hurts to be healed by those things? I saved your life but I don't plan on doing it so often...Get stronger or I'll take over, I have no use of a weakling like you "  

The voice echoed in my head as I look around to notice the night had passed while the voice had spoken and so I went to the Command Center alongside Jhin.

The Command Center was unlike the base I was  at before, this was a big castle with at least four or five small towns around it and everything was surrounded by a wall giving out the image of a prosperous and magnificent city. Jhin drove us closer to one of the gates where a lone girl stood up: long crimson red  hair and white skin, a full body armor sticking out her figure and standing almost as tall as me holding a sword on which she was resting on, she looked up and pointed it out toward me

"I demand a duel with you, Liar"
