"Who was here last night? I heard you talking to a guy." My brothers asks as he takes a bite out of his burnt toast.
"Guess."
"Um, Matt I guess? I don't fucking know."
"Ryder!" I scream, Jumping up and down.
"Oh no. No, no, no, no, no, Bailey. You can not being hanging around him. He is to be no where around my baby sister. Bad influence." He says cringing at the toast before tossing it.
"Oh shut up, Brandon." I say as I pick up my book bag.
"I'm serious, Bailey. Haven't you heard the shit he's been doing? No. No, no, no. Oh and... Hell no!" He says before disappearing from the kitchen.
I sigh before running out the door to meet up with Matt. I feel someone starring at me. So I turn towards Ryder's house. He's standing on his front porch drinking a Monster. He gives me a curt nod follower by a wink.
I quickly turn away and continue to walk to Matts car. "Who's the douche?" Matt asks while looking in the rearview mirror.
"An old friend." I reply rather quickly.
"What do you mean?"
"Did I ever mention, Ryder? Well he was my best friend from my child hood. He just moved back from New Jersey yesterday."
"No. you didn't." He states, his mouth in a straight line. He speeds down the street. Making sure his tires made a screech.
-------
"He's starring at you." Matt growls. Placing kisses down my neck. "Your mine, tell him to fuck off." He says before pulling me on his lap.
"I'm not property, Matt..." I sigh looking over in Ryder's direction. Ryder catches me looking at him. He smiles and gives me a wave before turning back to the amazing, Courtney. Note the sarcasm. I felt a burning pit of jealousy in my stomach.
Ryder starts to kiss Courtney, Looking at me in the corner of his eye. He's showing off! I grab Matts face and crash my lips to his. I bite down on his lip gently, causing him to groan loudly. Causing attention from some of our peers, including Ryder.
Matt grabs my butt, as he leaves kisses down my neck leading to my collar bone. I briefly glance at Ryder. He locks eyes with me, refusing to look away. Something flashes through his eyes, but it quickly replaced with a smug look. Courtney tries to climb on him, but gently pushes her away. The end of lunch bell rings signaling that it's time to go to sixth period. I break my eye contact with Ryder, get off Matts lap, and hurry to class.
Matt makes sure to shoot Ryder a glare before taking my hand and walking me to class.
------
"You put on quite the show back there." I hear a whisper in my ear before feeling a familiar presence next to me. I look over to see Ryder in the seat next to me.
"What's it to you?" I shoot back. He puts his hands up in defense and chuckles.
"I missed the way you talk to me." He says playfully hitting my shoulder with his own. "If you know what I mean." I shoot him a look, before giving my attention to the teacher as she babbles on about who knows what.
"Oh, I almost forgot! We have a new student! Ryder, if you would." She motions him to stand up.
Everybody turns to look at him. The girls immediately start swooning over him, as the guys roll there eyes.
"So what are ya like, Ryder?" The teacher asks sitting on top one of the student's desk.
"Um... Let's see. He looks down at me as he speaks. I uh, recently moved back here from New Jersey. I lived here up until the ninth grade. I... Um... Love to uh play baseball. Um... Oh and Bailey here..." Everyone turns their face to me, "has been my best friend since third grade. Don't mess with her." He warns raising his eyebrows once he notices most girls giving me a dirty look.
