Chapter 13

{Jen's POV}
"What do you think of this one?" She asked as they drove near a rather large tan house with a sign that read 'For Sale'.

"You know it's just me in the house right?"

"And Buckley and Evan and me," Jen listed making a stop.

"You?" His cheeks flushed.

"When I want a beer," Jen shrugged.

"Yup.. there it is," Colin laughed at her joke that he knew was coming. They walked in the house as a woman greeted them.

"Hello Mr and Mrs...?" She hinted for their name.

"Oh, no we're not together. I'm just helping him out," Jen chuckled nervously gesturing to Colin.

"It's O'Donoghue," he smiled.

"My apologies." She smiled handing him a brochure. "Would you like a tour?" She asked.

"I think we'll just walk around, thank you," Colin shook her hand before they both walked around the corner of the main level to the kitchen. "Look at this.." Colin gaped at how high the ceiling was in the kitchen.

"Look at this," Jen flipped through the brochure finding the price. His eyes bugged.

"Come on, we're leaving." He took her hand leading her to the door. "I told you... too big." Colin chuckled getting in the driver's seat.

They drove for a while around neighborhoods closer to set until Colin stopped at a semi-large brick house with a wooden garage.

"This one's gorgeous," Jen got out after he parked as they walked inside. A man sat on his phone next to the brochures. Colin grabbed one. She gasped making Colin jump. "There's a pool in the back! You have to get this one."

"Hold on a minute you spaz." He held out the brochure to her. "I don't want a four bedroom and five bathroom house." He shrugged. "I just need a two bedroom." Jen sighed.

"Come with me," she waved him. They walked up to the bedrooms finding a smaller one. "This can be Evan's." She opened another door. "This can be a guest bedroom." The last door led to a larger space with a ceiling that slanted upward meeting in the middle at a point. There was a large window that hung on one of the walls. She looked out to see an endless forest view. Jen looked to the other wall where the bathroom was. It was larger than her own. Almost perfect with a bath and shower. On the wall opposite of where the bed would technically be, there was a large walk in closet.

If he wouldn't buy this.. she would.

"And this is the master for you and Hel-... for you." Jen corrected herself. She would have to get used to the whole idea that Colin would end things with his wife soon.

Jen looked to him as he stared wide-eyed at her before turning red and looking down.

"What?"

"Nothing.. It's just... I like it. The house, I mean," Colin scratched behind his ear hinting he was uncomfortable. "That was three bedrooms though, what about the fourth?" He asked. The fourth was located in the basement.
