{Jen's POV}
"Jennifer... please just stay," Colin reached for her arm in the Drogheda airport after they had landed."Colin... It's been a long flight. Please don't do this now," Jen mumbled walking towards the baggage claim to find her dog. She hadn't even brought clothes with her, not that she had much of a chance to anyhow.
"Which is why you should stay. You didn't get much sleep on the plane. Just come rest at a hotel at least for one night? Clear your head. It's almost morning over in Vancouver anyways."
Jen hesitated. It would be nice to get some good quality sleep. It was almost seven, but the jet lag and time differences had their tole. She nodded hating herself for agreeing. If she was going back to Vancouver to deal with Sebastian, she would need all the strength she could find.
After they had gotten their luggage, they called a cab to take them to a hotel.
When they arrived to the hotel, Colin got a key for his room, and Jen was talking with a woman trying to make a last minute reservation on a room.
"I'm sorry, ma'am. We have nothing available. I don't know what else to tell you... it's busy around this time of year." The heavier woman behind the desk sighed in a thick accent.
"Where's the nearest hotel?" Jen sighed rubbing her eyes.
"There's one about fifteen miles south of here, but it's a bit pricy, and I don't know if they allow dogs," the woman nodded to Ava in Jen's purse before looking to her computer.
"Don't be ridiculous," Colin chuckled. "She'll stay with me," he nodded to the woman leading Jen away from the desk and towards the elevator.
"What are you doing? I'm not going to ask this of you!"
"Just shut up, you're staying in my room. You're not going to drive fifteen miles out of your way if you only plan on staying one night." Colin mumbled as the elevator chimed allowing them to get off.
"I- Colin I'm not comfortable doing this.." Jen mumbled quietly.
"What? I'm your friend doing you a favor just relax," he chuckled sliding the key into the scanner and opening the door. Jen's heart stopped. There was only one bed. "Oh..." he said following her gaze towards the bed. "The couch is pull out. I can take that if you want. I wasn't expecting you to come.." he sat his bags down near the couch.
"No, let me sleep on the couch. It'll make me feel better for taking your room." Jen sat Ava down letting her smell around with Buckley who had already claimed the right side of the bed.
"Shut up, Jennifer Marie."
"Excuse me?" Jen scoffed crossing her arms.
"You're not acting like you. We're best friends, and now since I kissed you and told you how I feel... you're distancing yourself. I can be friends. Just give me a chance." Colin sighed stepping forward.
"Fine..." Jen took a step backwards. Seeing the look on Colin's face when she did almost hurt her worse than it did him. "I'll take the bed, but only because my back hurts from the flight."
"I'm gonna take a shower," he said sternly grabbing his things and walking to the bathroom.
•{Colin's POV}
After a thirty minute shower to calm him down, Colin slid a t-shirt and shorts on sighing.
