Jen's POV
"We should have won, Jen," Bex huffed.

"Oh please, I saw that whole ordeal. Colin had her pinned on a wall and was-" Josh started before noticing Jared was still present. "I mean... Colin is strong and he is distracting altogether. Would have thrown me off. Colin cheated. We don't owe your team shit," Josh laughed lightly shoving Colin's shoulder.

"I did no such thing," Colin scratched his head nervously since not everyone knew about him and Jen.

"Yeah you did, I saw everything," Jared chimed in. Jen and Colin swallowed nervously.

Fuck. Now the kid knows.

"Oh geez, who gives a fuck who won we all had fun right?" Lana smiled with a raise of her eyebrows.

"Yeah it's a fucking game," Jared shrugged.

"Language!" Everyone yelled at Jared. This also included Lana who had said the same exact word not only two seconds beforehand.

"Well," Colin began. "Thank you all very much for the party. I really appreciate everyone taking time out of their days to come have drinks and play laser tag with me. Also, thank you to my best friend Josh for setting this up," he patted his shoulder before swinging his arm around my shoulders. I looked up at him as if to ask what he was doing, "and I also wanted to thank my.... my girlfriend Jen for setting this up with Josh," Colin said with a smile.

Everyone became utterly silent. Lana looked at Jen and closed her eyes knowing Colin had just fucked up. Jen could feel her cheeks grow hot and her heart nearly pumped right out of her chest.

"I knew it," Jared laughed breaking the silence. Everyone began cheering and high-fiving one another.

"You finally told us Jesus," Bex laughed.

"Wait how do people already know? I only told Lana and I know she kept her mouth shut," Jen asked folding her arms before looking to Colin.

"Oh, I only told Josh," Colin gulped. "He's my best friend!" Jen looked to Josh raising an eyebrow.

"I only mentioned it to Ginny because she's my wife and I don't keep secrets from her," Josh raised his hands. Jen looked to Ginny.

"I told many... many people," she admitted. Jen sighed. Well, there was no going back anyhow.

"No one told me?" Jared scoffed.

"Jared, buddy you're only a kid and this is grown up stuff so we weren't sure if you were able to keep your mouth shut or not, don't take offense," Sean patted him on the shoulder.

"You guys have been acting weird for a while we all had bet to see if you were dating," Rose shrugged.

"You guys were betting on us?" Jen asked with a wrinkle in her eyebrows. "Don't you think that's kinda rude?"

"Nah," seven of them said in unison.

"You guys are best friends. Falling for your best friend is the best thing in the world," Ginny claimed with an innocent smile placing her hand on Josh's chest and smiling up at him.

"Do you know what this means?" Josh asked.

"No I'm not doing a foursome with you Josh no matter how many times you beg," Colin smirked as Josh hit him on the shoulder. Jen looked up shockingly at Colin. Colin chuckled and leaned down. "He's never said anything. I'm just fucking with him, don't worry," Colin laughed. Jen let out a breath.

"What's a four-some?" Jared asked.

"It's a date with four people," Lana explained to the child.

"Oh, we call those double dates in the millennial world," Jared laughed as Josh rolled his eyes.

"This is why you were not informed of the budding relationship of Colifer," Sean explained to Jared.

"Actually, Jared that was what I was going to suggest. We should go on a double date sometime," he shrugged.

"I'm confused, didn't you just get offended when he mentioned having a four-some?" Jared asked.

"Just... never mind Jared," Colin sighed giving up on the kid.

"We should get going. Thank you all for the wonderful birthday!" Colin smiled at the group. "Also please do not mention anything about our relationship to anyone outside of this group, okay? I know you guys have done excellent with that so far, but we would like to make that announcement t the world when we're ready," Colin pleaded as everyone nodded.

"Thanks guys," Jen added, "goodnight."

As they said their goodbyes and walked out the door of the facility, they were finally alone. Nothing was said until they got into the car and had driven a couple minuets.

"I know I fucked up..." Colin's voice was low.

"Yeah you did," Jen stated calmly.

"I should have talked to you before I said anything, but I don't know. I just want to show you off as my girlfriend! I don't want to keep things secret any longer," Colin sighed.

"To be honest, I didn't even know I was your girlfriend. We never made anything official. We had sex and then you hated me until this morning when you found out about Geoff," Jen chuckled disappointedly unbuckling her seatbelt and getting out of the car. Colin followed and grabbed her arm spinning her around.

"I never hated you. I love you. I'm sorry, Jen. I just wanted to show you off," he sighed pulling into her driveway.

"Being in a relationship is a consensus of both parties. You don't get to decide if we're together by yourself, Colin. We do that together. You don't get to shout out to the world that you and I are together unless we both agree. I would do that for you! I would also give you the benefit of the doubt if you were in a situation. I wouldn't just blame you for something unless you tell me because I actually trust you," Jen argued.

"I know I should have given you the benefit of the doubt. I made a huge mistake," Colin began to tear up. "I just... I love you so much I didn't want to hear you say those words if it was true. I didn't want you to explain. I didn't want you to tell me that you were with another man. That would have broken my heart, and now because I was selfish and assumed things, I caused us to lose so much time with one another. I hope you give me the chance to regain your forgiveness," he explained looking down. Jen lifted his chin forcing him to look her in the eyes.

"Just promise me something," Jen whispered.

"Anything, my love," he answered sincerely.

"Promise that when it comes to us as a couple, that we make decisions together from now on," she raised her eyebrows.

"I promise," Colin said leaning in for a hug before pulling away. "Wait as a couple?"

"When asked the right question, perhaps," she hinted giving him a nudge.

"Jennifer Marie, would you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?" He asked. Jen leaned up capturing his lips in a searing kiss.

"I thought you'd never ask," she breathed before leaning in once more.
