Colin's POV
"Allen we can explain," Jen nearly whispered to keep from Colin's parents from hearing. Her voice was shaking from nerves. Colin placed his hand on her back rubbing circles to calm her down.

"Can I talk to my brother in private please?" Allen asked calmly. Jen nodded.

"Why don't you go hang out with my parents, okay?" Colin reassured her. Jen looked back nervously before heading downstairs as Ava trailed her.

Allen gestured to the room Colin and Jen were just in, and Colin with a nod followed him into the room closing the door behind him.

"Please don't get mad, this isn't any of your busine-"

"Colin shut the hell up," Allen shook his head before embracing him. Colin stood frozen not sure what to do. "Please sit down. I knew about you and Jen before you even knew," Allen chuckled.

"The fuck are you talking about?"

"Colin, I thought you were a naturally tense person. Your shoulders are always tensed and stiff. All my life I've seen you obey and do as your told, whether the order came from our parents, teachers and even Helen. Then, one day this five foot five inch blonde woman waltzes into your life, and you are a completely different person. Your shoulders are no longer tensed, but relaxed. She has transformed you in a way I've only seen acting do for you. You two respect one another and fight for yourselves and one another," he paused brushing his hands over his head.

"You are a bigger and bolder person when you are with her, more comfortable. The way you look at her- I've been waiting for the day that you would look at Helen the way mum and dad look at each other. You're not fooling anyone. You look at Jennifer like she's the only woman alive. And lord knows Jen looks at you like you're the only man in the world. She has since day one. Mum and dad know how you look at each other. They know it's only a matter of time. You two wait as long as you need, but don't be worried. Mum and dad love you and you know they adore Jennifer," Allen patted Colin's shoulder, "as do I," he smiled.

Colin let out a shaky breath.

"Colin you found your person. Embrace it, don't hide it from the world. Screw what everyone else thinks, you deserve happiness," Allen smiled down at his little brother. "You deserve love," he breathed as Colin came in for a hug. Allen chuckled hugging his brother back.

"Thank you for that," Colin's breath was shaking.

"Are you crying little brother," Allen asked with a raise of his eyebrows.

"No, it's only my acting tears," Colin chuckled wiping his eyes.

"Bullshit," Allen pulled away. "Why don't you go bring Jen up here, I need to talk to her," he sighed.

"Alright, but you have to promise to be nice. None of this 'I'm his big brother' bullshit or 'don't hurt him' kinda thing. Deal?" Colin raised an eyebrow warning his older brother.

"Deal," Allen stuck out his hand shaking on it.

"Hey, Jen?" Colin called. "Can you come up here for a second please?" They both paused a couple of seconds before hearing Jen's small feet paddle up the stairs.

"What's up?" She asked. Jen was still nervous. Colin could see it within her features.

"I'm gonna go talk to my parents. Allen wants to talk to you," Colin explained.

"Okay, and Colin?" Jen asked as he walked past her. Colin paused looking back at her. "Your parents know as well."

"Wait what?" Colin asked. "Were they nice to you?"
