Chapter 2 The quest begins
Amira's POV
The night before our departure from Rivendell. After the council, I went in search of Aragorn to discuss the situation back at the gathering.
I went around quietly, gently pushing open every bedroom door I went by.
As I made a sharp turn to the left I gasped as I crashed into a hard wall no, - chest. I stared at the chest for a moment and slowly lifted my head...
... and saw the last person in Middle- Earth I wanted to see.
Legolas.
His arms reached out to steady me and I stared into his soulful grey eyes for a what felt like an eternity, hardly daring to breathe.
Stop! You don't love him remember? He hurt you! A voice inside me screamed.
I snapped out of my trance and steadying myself, I said coldly, "Excuse me," and pushed past him - or - at least tried to. "Please move out of my way," I said through gritted teeth.
He looked into my eyes and said, "I need to speak with you", his voice was quiet and pleading and... hurt?
"I have nothing to speak to you about," I snapped and ran past him, disappearing behind a pillar.
I shook my head. Why did I have to see him again? Why didn't Aragorn tell me? Why did I have to have feelings for him?
No. I denied.
I do not have feelings for him. He is nothing to me, just a blur of memories. I shook my head again grimly. I needed to find Aragorn.

"WHAT? That is your reason?!" I glared at Aragorn as he shifted nervously and winced at my pitch.
"If you had known he was coming YOU never would have come," he said quietly.
"I -" I paused.
Unfortunately, he was right. I wouldn't have come.
I sighed in defeat.
"You will go won't you?" He asked after a few moments. I sighed, "Yes, I would to protect Frodo and besides," I smiled halfheartedly. "Arwen would need someone to look after you."
He shook his head smilingly.
"You know you should speak with her," I said softly in a more serious tone. "She wants to become mortal... just to be with you, she told me," I said.
"I know."
_______________
The next morning, I dressed in dark grey leggings with a sleeveless dress over it. Along with my riding cloak, my white golden arm-band on my left arm, my elbow length half-finger black gloves, and my light riding boots.
I brought my throwing knives, my bow and arrow, two white tooth daggers, two machetes and my favourite double edged sword. I carried a sling sack carrying minimal supplies. And braided my chocolate brown hair.
Once ready, the fellowship gathered at the entrance. And I said my personal farewells to my uncle, cousins and Arwen. "You will look out for Aragorn won't you?" She asked nervously.
I smiled at her reassuringly and nodded.
"Did you know about Legolas participation?" I asked quietly. She sighed and nodded, "You should give him another chance... You know he still loves you, right," she said. It was really more of a statement than question.
