The lights, too much light. I can hear, voices are muttering in the back of my mind. I can't move, my body was paralyzed. The beeping sound of a loud machine could be heard, my eyes were opening and closing every time. I couldn't seem to stay awake for too long. One moment I was looking at a bright light and then darkness.

My tongue felt heavy and my throat dry, I tried to speak but I couldn't. I could see someone above me, a mouth cap and a bouffant cap covering the person's head and mouth. Where was I?

Why can't I move? Why can't I speak? What was happening? What are they doing to me? My baby, oh god my baby. Leon, the accident, smokes, glasses. The car rolling down the side of the road.

We were in an accident, I remember Leon and I talking and laughing as he sang Black Magic off key. Then everything happen in slow motion, two people were driving next to each other trying to pass one another.

When I shouted at Leon to watch out. It was already too late, the car didn't have the chance to go back to its current lane. Leon tried to dodge it but it hit us on the side of Leon's car, just next to the front tire and made us roll down the road at how fast he was driving and at how hard the impact was.

Leon got out and tried to help me but he was hurt, the last thing I remember was sirens before I lost consciousness.

How was Leon? How was my baby doing? Was I still pregnant? Oh god, don't let me lose my baby. Not my baby. They covered my mouth with something and I was soon put back to sleep.

The next time I woke up there wasn't any doctors. Only a machine beeping and a nurse standing next to my bed but she wasn't looking at me, she was doing other things. "Nurse." I choked out groggily and husky as I tried to clear my throat but it was dry and thick.

She gave me water and I thanked her. "How are you feeling?" She asked me as she put the glass on the nightstand next to the bed.

"How is my baby? Please tell me my baby is okay?" I ignored what she just said and asked her about my baby instead. I couldn't care less about how I feel right now, my baby is the important thing here not me.

"Miss you have to calm down, I can't tell you because I don't know. The doctor will be soon here okay?" The nurse said in a calming voice but I wanted to know now about my baby, I wanted to know if my baby was still alive.

"No, I want to see the doctor now! Bring me the doctor now!" The machine accelerated at my distress and the nurse rushed toward the door, shouting something. Soon enough another nurse came in and gave me a tranquilizer.

"I'm sorry miss, but it is for your own good." The nurse told me as she looked down at me sadly and I blinked my eyes trying to stay awake but I couldn't hold it in much longer. Soon enough darkness took over me as I was put to sleep again.
