New RusCan for you guys. Yes, I know, Matthew's not a mute, and it isn't of the same one as the last one that I deleted, but oh well. This one will be much better, trust me.

--------------

Matthew frowned down at the document at hand, then returned his attention to his boss. "Are you sure this is correct? I am for humans, not for their kind. Can you not get someone else to do this task?"

"I cannot, Matthew. This is what was assigned to you, that I cannot change. My boss ordered this, and I can not defy him. Go on, take action, you must begin as soon as possible, and down there, day is just breaking, so you may want to head down, see what you can do with this man. We need you to do what you can to help him, otherwise he may be damned forever.."

The blond sighed to himself, "Basically, what you are trying to say is that his fate is rested upon my shoulders, so if he's damned.."

"You lose your job."

"That's a bit harsh, don't you agree?"

"Not my orders. Now go. You have a collection of work to do."

"As you wish, I will be descending now. Tell Alfred I will return soon." Matthew told his boss, wishing he could see his brother once more. After failing to accept a job, Alfred was sent to do work elsewhere, but was told he was still there, just in a different location.

That being said, the young angel took a deep breath before doing the tiresome job of descending down to Earth.

---

Ivan was a hard worker, an over achiever even, and at this specific time, he was being just that, doing all he could to finish the table he had been working on building for the past week, almost complete with the task as well. The tall male wiped the sweat from his forehead, setting the sandpaper at hand down on his toolbox. With a happy sigh, he grabbed his glass, chugging away at the beverage.

"I'm doing a great job, wouldn't you say so?" He asked down to the stray cat that tended to hang out in his work shop. The poor little thing had wandered in a year ago, to which Ivan fed and cared for it, though he never let the thing inside his home, mostly because the cat would never follow.

"Well, I suppose I should not have expected an answer, now should have I?" The cat just mewed back at the man. Ivan smiled and bent down enough to pick the fluff up, scratching him behind his ears. "Once I'm finished with this, I'll be sure to make you something, sound good?"

Due to his size and muscles, Ivan was mostly mistaken for a ruthless monster, but that wasn't the case at all. In reality, he was a soft, kind-hearted man, though nobody would take the time to see that he wouldn't hurt anyone. Well, unless they deserved it, then he'd beat someone to a bloody pulp. That didn't happen often, mind you.

"How about we get you something to eat, how does that sound?" In response, the gray cat purred and nuzzled Ivan's chest. "I'll take that positively!" Just as Ivan was exiting the shop with the cat in hand, from behind him, he heard two loud crashes. The man whipped around to see just what in the hell had caused such a ruckus.

What he saw left him in shock, and in panic. One, there was a blond boy on the table he had been working on, and two, the table was in pieces, and finally, there was a gaping whole in his workshop's roof, which he'd have to repair before he could get working on rebuilding the now broken table. In the meantime, he needed to help the poor man that had taken such a fall.

Gently, he put the cat down by his feet before quickly making his way to the strange one. "Excuse me, are you alright?" The only response was a pained groan, followed by, "I really need to work on my landings.."

"What?" Ivan asked curiously, helping the blond to his feet. "Are you okay? You took quite a fall there."

"I'm fine, I'll heal, nothing major. I apologize for the damage I have done, I will do what I can to help pay for the repair."

"Don't talk like that, I'll just repair it myself, are you sure you're okay? You're wobbling like a drunk."

"I said I'm fine. Nice to meet you, my name is Matthew!" The blond exclaimed rather quietly, holding a hand out to Ivan. Little did Ivan know that the handshake was only a means of distracting him so Matthew could retract his wings completely into his skin, rather than just having them awkwardly folded against his back.

"Nice to meet you? I'm Ivan."

"Really? Perfect, I made it here without taking any stops!"

Ivan frowned and shook the other's hand, his head tilting ever-so-slightly. "What do you mean? Were you looking for me? Who are you working for?" Ivan was an overly cautious man, to say the least, if a stranger came busting through your shop's roof saying they were looking for you, wouldn't you be as well?

"See, there is a matter we need to discuss, I work for someone really high up there, if you know what I am trying to say, and I was assigned to watch over you, so please show me somewhere we can talk that is much quieter than this open area, and I will explain everything."

One thing that could be said was that Ivan was not going to trust this man anytime soon.
