Chapter 9: Awakening

Kevin POV

"Ugh, It's been three days. When is he gonna wake up?"
"Dude you saw his head. I wouldn't blame him if he slept a year."
I squeezed Edd's hand. "Don't say that!"
"Calm down, he'll be back on his feet in no time. I'm gonna head to the cafeteria. Want anything?"
"I swear, the only things you think about are food and asses."
"Hmph, I take it you're not hungry then. I'll just get something for myself. Man, I can hear those burgers calling my name!" My stomach growled at the mention of food. "Sure you don't want anything?" He grinned.
"Maybe just some fries."
"Heh, Alrighty Sunshine! I'll be back in a few!"
He made a show of getting out of his chair.
"You must take me as a complete idiot."
"Sorry, I didn't hear you. What'd you say?"
"I said-"
"Leaving! Bye!" The door shut before I could get another word out.
I grinned. "I can't stand you sometimes."

"Honey I'm home!" Nat was carrying two boxes of food and a bag  full of groceries.
"How much did that cost me?"
"What ever do you mean, Love?"
"How much Nathan?"
"Chill, it was only 20 for the food. And there was a sale on snacks so I grabbed about 30 bucks worth."
"Some sale. You know you're paying me back right?"
"Mmm in what way?"
"Fuck you."
"Ooh! I thought you'd never ask! When, where, and for how long? I have a very busy schedule you know." He leaned over my shoulder and placed  a box of food in my lap.
"They were out of fries."

"...So I'm supposed to meet him see a  movie with him next week. Maybe I can cop a feel."
"Yeah. Sure. Let me know how that turns out." I was focused on stuffing my face with food. I hadn't eaten since I'd gone home to change clothes. I was mid-bite when I heard a soft moan. Nat and I froze and looked at stared at the bed.

Edd's head turned towards me as he slowly opened his eyes.
"Edd?!"
