Baby Me, Baby Sister

1997 June 14th was when I was born. Back then my parents were only in their 20s, approximately 27ish. I don't remember much about my childhood back then XD. Mom would sometimes tell me stories about how I used to live. Since both of my parents were in their 20s, it obviously meant they were still in college getting their degrees (I think it was for Masters). That meant I would have to follow them to their classes!

"That's right people! I studied in college way before elementary school.

Does that make me a genius? Maybe the next Einstein..."

Anyways, it would have been disastrous for both of my parents since I was a baby and babies cry a lot. Like...A LOT! Luckily for them, I was a different kind of baby. I was not a "cry-baby" but more of a sleeper, almost as if I was dead. I'd be sleeping during my dad's class (for Theology). The funny thing is the professor would joke about me for sleeping during class, as if his lectures were dreadful and boring.

At this point, I'm not sure what mom was doing...probably she was working in a nursery.

To my surprise, I was doing great at being a baby! :) I would sleep and not cry when mom did the chores, even if it got really loud, and once I ate dinner and slept, I never woke up till the following morning! Life was certainly great till I realized I was going to have a little baby sister....dun dun duuun (exclamation points! Just kidding...love you sis XD)

Two years after my birth, my sister was born. I guess I was sooooooooo quiet that my parents were "lonely." So they decided to give another try and *poof* came out my sister. Of course, it ain't that simple, one must be with another and hehehe (details up to your imagination)... The problem was my sister, too, was quiet. She, too, rarely cried and pretty much slept the whole day. I was only two when my sister was born so obviously I don't remember much about it; however, I am pretty sure I was excited to have a younger sibling. I only remember one story that my mom sometimes share with friends we know that proves my little sister is somewhat cute and stubborn... Hehehehe

The story goes like this: when I was about 2 and a half, my parents and I visited to the Philippines for mission trip with some other church members (mostly teenagers). My dad wanted to be a missionary (by the way we are Protestant Christian) and this would be one of his first mission trips we as a family would make. However, the trouble was my sister could not go with us....she was too young. (if you're reading this... Sorry sis, but Philippines was awesome XD) So unfortunately we had to leave her with our youngest aunt and we headed to Philippines to evangelize. It was a good experience for both baby me and the teenagers.

Fun fact: my first plane ride was in 2000 January 11th (so tomorrow since I am writing this on the 10th). This was when I went to the Philippines.

When we did finally arrive to Korea, my sister wasn't "normal." Well she was normal, only a bit MAD ~ only to our mom though. For a whole week she didn't see mom, smell mom, touch mom, hear mom...and that's right kids, talk to mom. ;) But in the end, even babies know when to forgive because they clearly need food!

Today baby ME and baby SISTER just gets along very well. Sometimes TOO well that we even argue, sometimes about little things like who gets to eat the last chocolate bite. XD But in the end, my point is we are a family and no matter what fights we've been through, I love my sister, although I don't say it that often.

Sister be like: WOAH, wait a minute, btw I don't love you bro!

PS: sorry for the long boring and dreadful story... i am still new to this environment and so I do not really know what people like. I will try to get better as the time goes by~~~  I am trying to write this as if it resembles how I think and talk (informally) to my friends and ordinary people.
