Impatiently tapping my desk with my pencil, Shay finally decides she's had enough of it.
"Hey can you stop that?" She asked, in the nicest way possible. "It's driving me crazy."
"Sorry sorry. I'll stop." I said and she smiled.
We were going to be assigned our partners today and honestly, I was scared as frick.
Whoever it is, I'd have to spend pretty much almost everyday with them to be able to know how to do my project.
Bad thing is, I hate spending time with people I don't know. I turn into an awkward mess, freak out about whether they like me or not and then end up talking about the weather. I'm not horrible at socializing but still, I hate this kind of thing.
"The list is already up on the wall. You all may go look." Mr. Falkov announced and everyone ran up to see the list.
I finally got my chance to look at it and my mouth opened.
What the actual crapcakes.
"What the..." I heard Aiden say, just as confused and shocked as me.
"Why on earth would he even think of putting us together?" I asked in disbelief.
Suddenly, Mr. Falkov came up to both of us.
"You're probably wondering why I did it." He said and we both nodded.
"You'll both be forced to get along and act in a civilized manner for this project. So look at this as a way to...learn to not blow your chances." He said and we both gave him a weird look.
None of us said anything, and then he just walked away.
"Well...looks like I'm stuck with you for the next 7 weeks." I mumbled, but loud enough for him to hear.
"Awkwardddd..." He said.
"I like your word choice." I said with a flat tone.
"Thanks."

Today's class was basically nothing but watching videos on how to make art based on someone else. After we were done with that, we were told to sit with our partners and talk about how we plan on working together and make a plan.
"So...netflix and chill?" Aiden asked and I lightly punched his arm.
"Nice one." I said sarcastically and he laughed.
I don't know how he always managed to just act like nothing had happened and like we never fought or anything. I mean I sat here, still feeling awkward about it all and yet he just sat there and teased around. How does he do that?
"Well first of all, I need to know what your special art quality is." He said curiously.
"Realistic paintings. Mostly portraits and landscapes, but I can still paint other things. Those two just happen to be my favorites." I said and he gave me a thumbs up.
"Sweet, cupcake. No pun intended." He said and I laughed even though it wasn't that funny.
Mostly it was funny because it was so stupid.
