**Nothin' But The Radio by Blackbear on the top (: Cute song to listen to. Kinda gave me the feeling for this chapter**
Sitting in the car alone with Aiden was probably one of the most awkward things I had experienced in my life. Not only because of what had happened, but because I had no idea what to talk about. I tried asking where we were going, but it was of no use; he wouldn't tell me. So now, here we were, sitting in silence.
After a couple of minutes, I couldn't take it anymore so I spoke.
"Why'd you bring a beanie if we're going swimming?" I asked, finally breaking the silence.
"In case I get cold." He said and I gave him a skeptical look.
"You do realize it's like 90 degrees outside, right?"
What is wrong with this boy?
"You have a point. You want to know the real reason?"
"I wouldn't have asked if I didn't." I replied, rolling my eyes at his dumb question.
"I have no idea why I brought it. I guess I was just in the mood." He said and I just shook my head.
"You're weird."
"You do know how to swim, right?" He asked, changing the subject.
I noticed we had already left the main city, and were now in some more suburban part of New York. It had been about 45 minutes since we left and I no longer recognized the place.
"Duh." I replied sassily and he just chuckled. "Are we almost there?"
"Yeah. We'll be there in about 10 minutes." He said and now I was really curious.
There were no waterparks around; I knew that for sure. And I didn't think he would travel an hour just to go to some random pool.
So then where the heck were we going?
I decided to look out the window and take a look at where we were.
There were a lot of houses everywhere and there was a lot of trees. It didn't even feel anything like the city. It almost reminded me of my childhood, when I lived in Virginia. Everything here seemed so ordinary. It was quiet and calm. If it weren't because I knew where we had driven from, I would never guess there was a city nearby. As we drove through the neighborhood, you could see children playing and people walking their dogs. I smiled at the view.
"You like it here?" Aiden asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah, it's nice. It reminds me of when I was little." I admitted and he smiled.
"Where'd you live?" He asked, not taking his eyes off the road.
"Small town in Virginia." I said and he nodded. Before he could reply, I noticed a lemonade stand set up outside.
"Look!" I said, pointing my finger at it.
"The lemonade stand?" Aiden asked and I nodded, smiling.
"Yeah! Can we get some?" I asked excitedly. I love lemonade stands. I think they're adorable. I used to set them up all the time when I was younger.
I love stopping by because I know the exciting feeling you get when you finally have a costumer stop by. Plus, never hurts to have a little lemonade, right?
Aiden laughed at my reaction but decided to stop anyway.
We stepped out of the car and walked up to the two little girls in charge of the stand. One of them had big green eyes, curly blonde hair, and freckles on her nose and cheeks. The other one had bright blue eyes, long beautiful eyelashes, and short brown hair. They were both absolutely adorable.
