"You were behind all this!" I accused Blue, who was smiling at me mischievously as I stepped back inside the apartment.

"It had to happen. Plus, you should've seen Aiden. Oh my goodness, June. He planned it out so well, I couldn't resist it! It was so cute!" She gushed, her eyes glowing at the thought of Aiden's charm.

I bit my bottom lip to stop the huge grin from making its way onto my face.

"WELL? HOW WAS IT?" She asked demandingly. I made my way over to her and took a seat next to her, plopping down on her bed.

"It was nice, I guess," I told her, a small smile playing on my face—partly because I was trying to contain my happiness, and partly because I found it funny how she was probably going insane at my lack of details.

"It was nice? Could you get any more vague? You better start speaking!" She threw her hands in the air, her expression in disbelief.

I let out a short laugh.

"I invited Joey. I didn't know it was a secret date. I'd forgotten he was coming." I stared and her eyes almost fell out of her head.

"You what?!"

I grimaced, allowing an awkward smile on my face shortly after.

"I know! I'm sorry. I had no idea!"

She sighed and shook her head at me.

"Okay. Anyways, what happened then?"

"Aiden threw our dinner table over the building and then I told Joey the dinner was cancelled. Aiden confessed his feelings for me and then we hung out at his apartment. We played in his mini arcade—which is awesome, by the way—and then played some game about answering two questions. Then he drove me back and I told him about Miles and we kissed." I let myself breathe, noticing I had practically told her all of that at once. However, my tone was indifferent the whole time, whereas she was trying to stop herself from screaming. Her eyes widened more and more as well as her grin and by the end of my explanation, her cheeks looked like they were about to explode.

"YOU KISSED?" She asked, practically yelling her question. "So like, are you two together or what? STOP BEING SO VAGUE AND BLOBBY ABOUT THIS. TELL ME."

Geez, she yells a lot, I thought.

I finally allowed myself to express what I was feeling and I beamed at her.

"Maybe." The corners of my mouth quirked up. "Sort of. Yes," I finished saying, and she squealed.

"THE SHIP HAS SAILED. I REPEAT, SHIP HAS SAILED. FINAL DESTINATION TO ISLAND MARRIAGE." She stood up, yelling—once again—at nothing in particular.

"Shut up! It hasn't even been an hour and you're already planning our marriage. Calm down, for goodness' sake, Blue." I grabbed her wrist and pulled her back down on the bed, but couldn't help myself from laughing at her reactions.

"Don't call me Blue. From now on, you can call me cupid," she told me, a smirk on her face.

What am I going to do with her?

--

I groggily made my way to the door as I heard the doorbell ring, still feeling like I hadn't gotten enough sleep last night. I usually felt pretty awake after showering and just getting ready in general, but today I felt extra tired. I wasn't sure why. After all, it's not like I had gone to sleep late yesterday.

Who even came to our place this early in the morning?

I let out a yawn before opening the door, just to reveal Aiden standing there. I blinked a few times, trying to make sure my eyes weren't fooling me.
