I was walking in the forest when, suddenly, a deer walked up to me on its hind legs. Yes, its hind legs. It was wearing a cap, a tie, and had some shades on. It tapped my shoulder and I simply stood there and stared at it, not sure what to do. Part of me was terrified at the fact this deer was extremely human-like, and the other part was trying to keep my calm and handle the situation well. However, it suddenly pulled out a gun, and before I could say anything, it shot me. I died.
After it happened, I woke up sweating and my heart was hammering inside my chest. I angrily grabbed my phone and for about a second, the brightness instantly made my eyes go half blind. I immediately squinted, trying to protect my eyes from the light, and then lowered it. Finally, my eyes adjusted to the brightness and I unlocked my phone. I frowned when I took notice of what time it was.
4:32am.
I hadn't been able sleep in peace all night. I kept waking up repeatedly and mentally cursed myself for ever letting Aiden talk me into allowing a freaking deer in my home. I was too scared to go out and actually open every door just to look for that stupid animal. However, I knew the time would come, and I feared for the moment when a deer could possibly fall out and land on top of me. Heck, I even had a nightmare because of it.
After several attempts at trying to fall asleep, I decided it was useless, so I went to the Messages application and texted Aiden. He was probably asleep but it was worth the try. If I wasn't going to be able to get any sleep, then neither should he. He didn't deserve it.
[To: Aiden]
Your stupid deer has kept me awake for the past five hours.I didn't really expect to receive a message from him at this time so I started scrolling through my Instagram timeline. I hadn't really gone on it for about a week, which was shocking, considering I would usually check it several times a day. I guess with everything going on, I just haven't had much time or energy to even use my phone much lately.
Wow, who have I become? I actually kind of have a life!
I went on the notifications tab and found two follow requests.
Well, that's new.
Now, don't take this the wrong way. I'm not actually that big of a loser. In fact, I know quite a lot of people and am not really the super anti-social type, but I'm one of those people who believe more in the quality of friends rather than the quantity. Well, Aiden being an odd exception to that. I didn't just accept anyone's request just to get more likes. For all I know, they could be creeps who want keep up with my personal life. No thank you.
I clicked on the requests and wasn't too surprised when I found they were from Aiden and Blake. I accepted Blake's request right away, and followed him, but I went on Aiden's profile before making my final decision on whether to accept his or not. And, of course, his profile was on private.
Everything about him was so mysterious. It seems like he's an easy person to figure out, but when you really think about it, he doesn't really let people go past the surface. I was barely finding out about his personal life, didn't even know his age yet, had no idea who those girls he always meets up with were, discovered he's actually got some kind of personal relationship with God or whatever, he never really talked much about himself at all, and his instagram profile was on private. He kept a lot to himself. In reality, I sometimes wondered if I even knew Aiden at all.
All his bio said was, "I have a passion for eating tacos on Tuesdays."
I found that incredibly stupid and irrelevant, but it made me smile. It was good enough to get me to accept his request, and then I proceeded to send him a request myself.
