More than a Rebel

Chapter 8

The week passes by in a blur. Every day was the same. It mostly consisted in me avoiding Julian and Pink B^%¥# princess.

I've been spending a lot of time with Adrian. I've notice he is very easy to talk to and so I have been spending lunch with him till the end of the week.

And actually, he asked me to hang out this weekend. Now that I think of it; he asked me in Lit class and I remember hearing Julian coughing weirdly once I agreed.

*Start of flashback*

I'm currently sitting on my usual table in Literature class sighing in relief remembering that today is finally friday and I can have a break from all this drama.

"Oh hey Valentina, I want to ask you something"

I noticed that before Adrian entered the classroom, Julian walked in and I felt his gaze on me so I quickly glanced at the floor; And he took his seat infront of me.

"Go ahead Adrian, what is it that you want to ask me?"

"Well, I know we see each other in school, but I was wondering if you wanted to hang out on saturday"

Once he said that, for some reason I felt like I had to take a quick glance at Julian, only to find him looking at us slightly from the corner of his eyes.

"Umm, sure, we can hang out"

"Cool, well lets exchange numbers so that we can settle all the details"

"Ok"

I felt a little surprised once I heard Julian choking, I'm guessing on his own breath, but it felt weird because it kind of sounded intentional, eather way, I decided it was best to ignore.

*End of flashback*

Today, I had to wait once again for Keyla because even though it was the first week of school, they were working really hard on their acting.

As I waited for my cousin, I found myself going into the recording studio for the second time this week, I looked around to make sure I was alone and so I took the liberty to sing my heart out. The song 'Chemicals react' by Aly and Aj was the one I chose.

When I was done singing, I heard the door close as if someone else was inside here and got out just before I could notice. When I heard the noise I ran to the door to see if I could catch the person who was watching me but to my dismay, I saw no one.

We were at home chillaxing when I heard my phone ring and It was in my room so I got up and went to pick it up.

"Hello? it came out more as a question than anything because of the fact that the number was unknown.

"..... Hi, Valentina"

As soon as I heard the voice my retarted mood swings came kicking in.

"Is there a reason why you are calling me?"

"Well... actually, Yes, I uh... wanted to know if you were adjusting good at school"

"Who are you? My guardian?, you know what, you don't have to worry about it and don't call me again"

As I hang up, I can't help and feel frustrated, but wait.... how did this Person get my phone number?

*Secret P.O.V*

As she hangs up on me, I can't help but feel even more determined to find out whats going on with her.

I'm brought back to reality as I hear the door bell ring, so I go to answer the door.

"Hey babe, I missed you so much" she says and I start to feel sort of sick. For some reason it's not how it used to be.

"Hi, what are you doing here?"

"Well, I'm here to spend time with you" she said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"How come you don't look excited, what's wrong?"

As I look into her eyes, I see hurt in them, so I immediately wrap her up in my arms and kiss her.

"Nothing's wrong; you just, caught me by surprise".

*End of secret P.O.V*

While I am drowned in my thoughts my cellphone starts ringing again bringing me back to reality; I let out a frustrated groan and answer without looking at the called Id.

" I thought I told you not to call again"

"Whoa Valentina, Its me Adrian, what did I do".

As soon as I hear Adrians voice I can feel my cheeks flushing red.

"OH um, sorry Adrian"

"Let me guess, undesired calls you got huh?"

"Yes, I'm so sorry, anyways, what's up?"

"Well, I was thinking, we could hang out tomorrow, if that's ok with you"

"Yeah sure, no prob; where are we going? First of all were are we going to meet?"

"Well, I could pick you up if you want"

"I prefer to walk"

"No problem, just give me your address and I'll go get you"

After I gave him my Address I felt tyred so I wen't straight to sleep.
