More than a Rebel

Chapter 9: The Date

It was 9:00 am and I was all set up. I took a shower got dressed in a very cute black dress, boots, straighten my long black hair And put some foundation, concealer, powder, blush, mascara and red lipstick on.

As I am walking towards the kitchen to grab a snack, I hear my cousin wistle from the living room.

"(Wistle sound), Where are YOU going?"

"Out"

"Out? alone or...."

"Jesus! I'm going out on a friendly date with Adrian"

"Ohh... nice, well you look super pretty"

As soon as those words left my cousins lips, I automatically fealt the heat rushing to my face because honestly, I wasn't expecting that, but a bunch of questions.

"Thank you"

Just as I am done eating my snack I hear the door bell ring.

"I'll get it!" I shout so that Keyla doesn't rush to the door.

I take in a deep breath becuase I was honestly feeling a little nervous, when I feel calm enough I open the door with the most honest smile I can manage to have.

"Hi Adr...."

My face drops as I look at the two figures standing right infront of my freaking door.

"Oh hey Valentina, wow you look awesome!"

"Thanks Jaden, What are you guys doing here?"

"Right, well I came to practice a little more with Keyla for our acting program, and also work on school stuff so we don't fall behind"

"And you Julian?"

"I was taking a walk when I bumped into Jaden, and though I'd come by as well"

"What ever"

Just as I say those words Adrian gets here and I felt so relieved that I didn't have to sit here talking to Julian.

"Hey Valentina, .....and Jaden, Julian"

"Hi Adrian, ok, we can go now"

"Sure"

After we said our quick goodbyes, I felt a little dissapointed that Adrian didn't say anything about my appearance.

"Soo how about we start our walk?"

I felt relief as soon as I heard Adrian talk, cutting off the uncomfortable silence.

"Sure, but were are we going?"

"Well, I was thinking we could maybe go to the park, eat icecream, I don't know, just have fun with what ever that we find"

"Hhmmm sounds interesting, then lets go!"

I could not help but smile at how spontaneous he was, it wasn't all planed out, and I sort of enjoyed that.

We walked for about 20 minutes in a comfortable silence just pointing out ramdom things we saw on the walk to the park.

"Wow Adrian, you really love nature don't you?"

"Ok fine, yes, I do, its just so beautiful the creation, and so peaceful"

"Well, I never really thought about it that way, but I have to admit, the school garden is very beautiful"

"It is isn't it?"

At that moment while we were sitting on a bench, we were looking straight into each others eyes. I just couldn't describe how I felt for this guy, he was so peaceful, so good to be aroud. As I am thinking this I lowered my head because It was getting kind of uncomfortable just staring at each other.
