Cameron.

   (Camila's POV) 
     I woke up and got ready for school. I have no friends and this girl already hates me (Amanda). Amanda is that popular girl that everyone loves but secretly hates. They love her because she's pretty but they hate her because her personality is horrible. Why would Shawn want to date her? Why am I even thinking about Shawn.
     I got the car and my mom drove me to school. She was taking Sofi because she needed to be at school early. "I don't get how Camila doesn't have to take the bus but I do!" Sofi yelled from the backseat. "I already told you Camila goes in earlier then you and her school is more far" my mom said. "Ugh" Sofi said. I just laughed.
     We dropped off Sofi and I didn't want to talk. "Did you make some friends?" My mom said. "Nope" I said while looking out the window. "We'll their loss" she said. "Mom no one wants to be friends with the new girl" I said in frustration. "They just don't know you" she said. We got to the school and I got out without saying a word after my mom said that.
      I was walking to the doors when I heard someone say my name. "Camila!" It was Amanda. I rolled my eyes before she came up to me. "Hi Camila" she said with a perky fake smile. "Here to put more mashed potatoes in my face?" I said. "Oh don't be silly that was an accident" she said. "Just leave me alone" I said while walking past her. She grabbed my arm and said "look I'm so sorry I feel so horrible for that" she said with another fake smile. "What do want" I said. "Okay so you know that guy in our math class Cameron" she said. "Yea why" I said. "Well he has a HUGE crush on you" she said while doing another annoying fake smile. "Well that's nice isn't it" I said while leaving.
       I started walking to homeroom after that. I was just thinking about what she told me. Was it true? I don't even like him. I don't like Cameron I like Shawn. WAIT WHAT. I need to stop thinking about him he's a jerk with a stuck up girlfriend.
      I went into my homeroom class and saw Shawn. I walked right past him. He's so cute. NO STOP.
     Homeroom ended quickly.
     I walked to first period which was math. I had to sit next to Shawn. The teacher just taught any other lesson and as I was watching I could feel Shawn staring at me again. "Can you not stare at me?" I said while still looking at the teacher. "You. You have nice eyes" he said while looking at the teacher. "Don't you have a girlfriend" I said. "I can't compliment a girl on her eyes?" He said while laughing a little. I finally looked at him. "Isn't that considered flirting?" I said. "No really" he said while looking at my lips. "You're impossible" I said. The bell rang and I left.
     I sat alone at lunch again. No one was at the table I sat at. Cameron came up to me and I wanted to leave but I didn't. "Hi Camila right?" He said. "Yes" I said. "I'm Cameron and I just wanted to tell you that you're so beautiful" he said. "Thank you" I said. For some reason I didn't take it as a compliment because I felt like Amanda made him do this. He sat next me and said "So there's winter formal and I wanted to know if you wanted to be my date" I looked at him and said "Look I don't want sound mean or anything but-" he interrupted me. "No I know we don't know each other but I'm a nice guy" he said.
      I didn't know what to say. Yes he was good looking but I wasn't really into him. Maybe he's a nice guy so why not.
     "Um uh. Sure I mean how bad could it be" I said. I didn't want to go with him but I really had no choice. "Okay Great here is my number" he said. He wrote down his number on a paper and gave it to me. He left after and sat next to Shawn. Of course he would be friends with him and Amanda. I looked at Shawn and he looked at me. He raised his eyebrows at me and then looked at Cameron. I just laughed.
      The bell rang and science was after. I went in and sat next to Ally. "So I saw you at lunch sitting alone and you know whenever you want you can sit with me and my friends." She said with a smile. "Thanks" I said. Ally and I talked the whole period. She was really nice and funny.
      After school I walked home. It's a long walk but I don't want to be at home so soon. I texted Cameron to let him know what my number was.

Me: hi I'm just letting you know it's Camila.

Cameron: great can't wait for Friday (:

      I didn't answer. I don't really like him. He's nice but is it all an act? I hope not.
      I got home and I was scared to tell my mom that I was going to go to winter formal. I know she would ask why and with who. But I didn't care I just wanted to get it over with.
     I told my mom that I was going and why. "I'm going because I don't want to hurt his feelings he's really nice" I said. "Great do you need a dress?" She said. "I'll find something" I said while going upstairs.
