"This couldn't be stopped, Elise." Shana said.
I began to cry. "I-I know."
"You can't do what happened in the screen." Zona said.
"I know. But, can I still go to her?"
"Yea. I guess-" Shana said as I ran downstairs and emptied my book bag. They all ran downstairs after me.
"What are you?-" Zona asked.
"I'm packing essentials. We can't stay here." I said, wiping the dried streams of tears from my face.
"Why?" Loni asked.
"Once they find out that it was my mom in the crash, they will come here, see me, and then try to put me in a foster home. I can't live with a foster family. SO, we're going on an adventure."
"That could be fun." Suni said.
"It definitely won't be boring. We have each other to keep each of us company. We can keep each other safe, heathy, and most importantly, happy." I said, looking up at them and smiling. Then I continued packing my bag. The demons could probably summon some items like blankets, food, and extra clothing. I had to bring others, though, like the first aid kit, my toothbrush, and my sketch pad.
About a half an hour later, I was finished packing. Shana duplicated my backpack, but into different colors. One for each of my demons. They either packed or summoned items that they wanted. I took the cash that was in my mom's drawer in case I wanted to buy food (which was kind of pointless since Shana, Zona, and Suni could all summon food items.)
"We need to try and blend in. Shana, that's your cue."
She closed her eyes and moved her hands towards the couch. A few sets of clothes appeared, neatly folded on there.
"Thanks." I said.
"No problem." Shana said.
We put on the clothes and rushed out the door, running towards the crash scene.
You can't see it from my house, but I knew where the accident was. In the background of the video, you could see the store.
We ran towards the scene and tried to blend in with the crowd outside of the yellow tape. The accident scene was exactly like the future-sight, except for I wasn't crying on the side. I was watching it.
I felt like crying, but I tried to hold it back. Key word: tried.
"Mom." I said, tearing up. A lady standing next to me in the crowd heard me.
"Is that your mother? I'm sorry for your loss." She said, putting a hand on my shoulder.
"I-I. That's not my mom." I said.
"Oh." She said, taking her hand off of my shoulder. "I'm sorry."
"T-That's alright." I turned to my demons.
"Let's go." I said.
As we were walking away, I glanced back at the blue heap that used to be my mom's car.
"Goodbye." I whispered. "I love you."
Then I turned my back to the scene and walked towards my new life.
