Normal POV

"Yokin!" I yelled, once I saw him. "Are you okay?!"

"Y-Yea. I think so." He said, wiping away the blood and tears in his face. I felt a sting. He was scared, upset, and hurt.

"Yokin." I knew what to do. I closed my eyes.

"Shina-ki. Shana-ki. Zona-ki. Yanu-ki. Tozu-ki. Xeni-ki. Suni-ki. Loni-ki. Huno-ki. Gela-ki. Fuji-ki. Quen-ki."

"M-Master?" Shina said.

"Yokin. You don't have to be scared."

"I-I wasn't scared." He said, blushing a little.

"I could feel it. You were alone and lost. Just know, we'll always be here." I was trying to calm him down a little.

"Things happen. To everyone."

"I-I know." His voice got softer.

"But, Elise."

"Hm?" I said.

"Some people are harder to save than others." He said.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Please, just remember that." He looked me in the eyes. His fear-filled, amber-colored eyes.

"Okay. Let's get you cleaned up." I said, putting my hand on his shoulder.

"Why?" He said.

"What do you mean 'why?' You're hurt!" I pointed his arm, which had many cuts on it.

"I'll just die anyways." He said, looking at the ground.

"What?" He pointed to his back. My eyes widened.

His back was covered in Synth. He looked at me.

"I'll come back. Sorry." Those were the last words before he fell forward, and I fell back to the ground.

Then, he disintegrated.

"K-Keskeva*cough*-ki!" I felt like someone had carved out a piece of my head, and a piece of my chest.

"Shana. He...*cough*He died?" I said, grabbing my throat.

"Yes. He'll reincarnate in about a week. When he does, he'll be back to normal." She said.

"Okay. L-Let's keep moving." I said. My voice was broken, but I tried to hide it.

"Okay." Shana said, hesitantly.

"Xeni. We'll find your sister." I said, standing up.

"Give me an item of her scent, Xeni, please."

"Here." She pulled a scarf from her bag and gave it to me.

"Thanks." I took a sniff and closed my eyes. A path lit up in my mind, the color of her sister's aura, a red-brown color. I turned around and looked. The 'path' was still there. I smiled.

"Here." I said, giving her back the scarf.

"This way."
