Chap. 10

Best friends

I had a friend for so long, since we were 12. she's a year younger than me. Her name was El and she had black hair, she was constantly dying it. She was shorter than me by a few inches and she was average weight, skinner than me though. She was into weird stuff like me, creepypastas, you tubers, and tv shows.

El moved away from L.A when we were 14 our first year of highschool, and that's when me and Sam got close. She moved to a Philadelphia. On the other side of the United States. I couldn't Cope. I got a text last month telling me that she would be moving back, and I could hardly wait. her house was just right around the block from Kian's. When she told me she landed and unpacked everything i rushed over.

"El!" I said as I ran over to her to hug her. we had to be hugging for almost 5 minutes.
"How are you?" she said
"Great I have so much to tell you!"
"Talk over lunch?" she said as we took her car to a restaurant called 'The Four Seasons'. I think I was the only young adult at this age without a car.
When we sat at our seats. I couldn't wait to blurt it out. "I have a boyfriend, .... kinda". I said playing with the utensils.
She gasped, "WHO?"
"Okay you may remember him from school, but.. it's Kian, Kian Lawley." I said covering my face. she made a face like she was surprised

"I heard that kids a slob." She said scratching her head.
"Yeah, everyone says that. But I've spent the last half month with this kid, and he's ... okay".
I flutter my eyes.
She shook her head "I'm proud of ya girl". she said getting my hands and shaking them in excitement.
I told her about more stuff, like the moments me and kian had, about Sam. About everything. This was my best friend and honestly I could tell her everything, well everything she needs to know.

El would be going to my highschool. so I now have someone other to hangout with other than Sam. Her first day was Friday , we were walking to school together

When Friday came I was so excited, it was her first day. I texted her to make sure she was ready.
Me: el you ready?😅
El💛: Yes you impatient bitch. meet me at my block.
I walked out my house in just a hoodie over my outfit since the weather was quite warm. I met her at her street called Woodly St.
We hugged and walked to school. When we arrived I was aloud to walk her around, for as long as it took to get her used to the highschool.
"I'll show you all the classes". I said smiling.
"Sike were gonna have fun". she replied laughing and dragging me through the empty halls.

I showed her every room, except one I've been dreading going in because It was Kian's current class.
"Okay, El Kian is in this class don't act awkward." I said and she nodded.
I walked in the classroom to Mrs. Shelby yelling at Dom.
When I walked in my eyes were strictly on Kian. He didn't notice me. because the classroom was louder than a pack of hyenas.
"Mrs. Shelby". I said, but she didn't hear me. "MRS.SHELBY!" El screamed and the class got quiet.
"Yes girls?" she said. Kians eyes landed on me. I knew.
"I have to show El around and this is the only class left. Can I show her around?"
"Yes go ahead Ava." She flicked her wrist insisting.
I giggled as I saw kian staring at me.
The class became loud again.
"Psst". I heard coming from kian. Me and El were in the back of the room.
I turned around to see kian sitting at his desk trying to get my attention.
"what kian". I asked trying to avoid him.
he pushed his lips out puckering them. he wanted me to kiss him in public, and he didn't even ask me out yet? no.
I swatted at his face with my hand as me and El continued around  and out of the room.
we made it halfway down the hall, and heard running I turned it was kian. what a surprise.
he ran in front of me. "Why didn't you kiss me?" he said crossing his arms like a four year old.
"Because I can't kiss a friend in public dummy". I said
he laughed. "Oh right, we're not dating oops". he said laughing.

"Can I just sneak one now?" he said pouting.
I denied. I wanted him to ask me out.
"Okay then" and he walked away. probably not
to his class.
I knew he was mad at me, but I didn't care. He has to ask me out before our kissing game can be in public.

Me and El sat at a empty table in the cafeteria.
Jc sat with us, he said he wanted to meet El, so you know Dom followed. So did Kian.
We talked about a bunch of stuff and Jc invited us to his house tonight for a 'game night'.
We agreed and said we would be there.
We all separated when lunch was over.
Kian was being silent, but he did say he would drive me and El tonight.
Ugh.
