Second chances? ( back to Ava )

Recap// "Well uh. There is this girl named Ava, and she makes the good come out of me. I don't know what it is, I want her to be mine because we've been talking about being serious for about 2 or 3 months now. She's like that r-rainbow that comes after the rain, she's innocent. And I hurt her."

I was walking down the hall. When I heard Kian. I walked over to a cracked open door and heard words I would never forget. "Well uh. There is this girl named Ava, and she makes the good come out of me. I don't know what it is, I want her to be mine because we've been talking about being serious for about 2 or 3 months now. She's like that r-rainbow that comes after the rain, she's innocent. And I hurt her." I heard Kian say.  I was so surprised I barley moved. Kian... Loved me? all this week I've been trying to forget him and I just can't. He's everything..  to me. EVERYTHING.

He turned his head to see who was making noises out in the hallway. I jerked back feeling my heart race and walked down the hall.

invitations were being handed out for Spring Formal and I was ecstatic. All my friends would be there, drinks, fun... wait I didn't have a date. Not that I was the girl who NEEDED one, I just wanted one.

School got out in 1 hour, and El was walking home with me, so I decided I would wait outside of the school.
The weather was getting nice, and I could feel the sun on my skin. It's scary that it was winter when me and Kian started flirting.
I can't take him back, I can't. He hurt me so bad. with that 'just friends term'.

It was 3:30. And El popped out of the door with, Sam, A girl named Catherine and Another boy.
"Hey," she said hugging me.
"Hey El." I say.
"You, know Sam. This is Cat (Catherine) and this is Connor."
I smiled at them all.
I knew Connor from similar classes but not very known.

We started walking to my house and we were all talking about the dance.
"I have a date.." Sam said looking at El
"I don't." I said signaling a tear with my finger.
"Hah same." Connor said nudging my arm.
I laughed.

We all went to a park. It was dark out now and we were just having some fun. Sam and El in a fight of course.
"So what are your interest?" Connor asked me in such a smooth voice
I shrugged "I mean I sing.." I said
He smiled and nodded. I laughed, "what about you?"
"Well, I enjoy lattes and taking bomb instagram pictures." He said pulling out his Iphone and showing me. 
We basically talked the whole night. Connor wasn't so bad.

When we began walking home. We talked more, and exchanged numbers.  we became good friends over a 2 hour period. Connor was a cool guy whom I enjoyed his presence. 

When the other people cut off to walk El home, Connor stayed with me. 
"Well that was nice." He says as we walk up to my door
He puts his hands in his pocket shyly 
"Yes Connor it was." I said 
"well bye Ava." he said leaning in for a quick hug. We hugged but it lasted longer than I expected. 

I walked in to the house, and my phone buzzing with a text.
