*Tessa's POV*
// People think that if you don't cry then you aren't a man or you aren't tough. That's not true. And it hurts seeing the people you love sob in front of you. You feel all their pain that has been weighted on their shoulders. It was like you were in the same shoes as theirs but they had it worse. Even if you didn't know what was wrong with them you still knew it was hurting them badly.
It's been a few days now and I've never once brought up Him crying to him. I wanted to so bad to see what was making him cry. But then a again. It was Calum.
The cold blooded killer that everyone feared yet let him have his way only because they were scared of what he would do to them.
I was in that crowd. I was terrified of him and I knew I had a reason to. He hates me from the party incident and basically stalked me in my house.
I was glad the night he left my house. My body had a ton of weight lifted off and taken away. I've never felt so relieved to have him out of my hair and my house.
And at this current moment I was looking out the window of the slow business the coffee shop was having today. I sighed as soon as the bell chimed not even bothering to look at the customer. My mind was on cloud nine and I just didn't have the energy today.
"Can I have a hot chocolate small" A familiar deep voice asked as I punched in his order. I still didn't look up to see the face only a few inches away from mine. I quickly gave out his change before running over to make the hot chocolate. I could feel multiple towns people eyes on me as well as him.
It didn't take long giving him his chocolate but of course he had to be the only customer in line. "Long time no see" he spoke with a tad bit of humor in his voice. " It's been only 3 days Calum"
I rolled my eyes looking back at the book on the desk waiting for him to go away.
He was still here.
"Leave please" I added the please not wanting to upset him. I already was in deep so I didn't want to be deeper.
"No go on break" he demanded. I wasn't his little puppet, he couldn't tell me what to do. He wasn't my father or a god. Well...
No he wasn't.
"I don't have break yet" no emotion even hanging on a string in my voice. His nose scrunched up raising his left eye brow.
"I don't care"
"No"
-
My eyes glared at every inch of him. If a look could kill he would have Been stabbed over 30 times by now. The smug look on his face showed that he was enjoyed by the way I was looking at him which I hated."Something wrong baby" he asked making my eyebrows push together at his choice of words. It made me feel weird. "Don't ever say that again"
"What baby?" A smirk tugging at his lips knowing that I didn't like his intentions of calling me that. "Stop"
"But baby"
"Calum"
"Babe"
"Stop Calum"
"Oh baby" his voice moaning the last letters of my new hated word.
"Don't you have somewhere to be" I asked looking around the café. It wasn't filled but there was a decent amount of people. All their eyes glancing at this very table and I knew why. What did it look like? I was at a table with a murder who just got out of jail. Their eyes were filled with fear and sorrow for me as if they already knew the next half of the story.
That I was the next victim.
"Not really" he shrugged not even caring if people were looking.
I rolled my eyes as the bell chimed and Tony started running to the back.
I laughed starting to stand up. "Late" I yelled making his head go back in laughter. "Shut up, hangover man"
I laughed again as he started to do the rest of his uniform. Re-doing up all his uneven buttons. Even in the worst green uniform Tony still made it work. His floppy brown hair getting in his face as he had the work hat covering the very top of his head. He was so attractive yet me and him were just good friends.
His eyes looked back over at me but as soon as his eyes changed Direction his face turned pale. "uh Tess, can I- uh talk to you real quick" his voice tried to not sound shaky.
I nodded looking back at Calum who looked quite pissed at this moment. I already knew what this was about and to be honest I was worried myself.
"Tess what the hell?! He's a murderer and your sitting at a damn table with him!" He whispered screamed while we were standing in a little corner by the counter. "I mean I get you can have any guy you want but why him?" My cheeks got a little hot when he said that. But then again he was lying, I couldn't get any guy. A dog wouldn't even date me.
"I'm not getting with him. We had A bad encounter a few days ago and I guess you can say I didn't know who he was...." I trailed off. "Wait" Tony paused with wide eyes. "Your the girl who poured beer on him?" He questioned. I nodded looking back at Calum who's eyes were already attached to mine which made me quickly turn back around.
"Oh my god!"
"Like I was saying...that happened and yeah now I'm kinda getting pay back and I really can't say no to him because I'm scared. So he made me go on break to sit with him so he can piss me off"
After the explaining Tony felt sorry for me but didn't know what to do. I mean who didn't? This was a tough situation and most of my worries where asking if this would ever end but I guess not.
Pulling the chair out I sat back down across from the most hated and powerful person in this town. His chocolate eyes filled with humor yet deep secrets and a small smirk tugged on his lips.
And for some reason that told me, he wasn't gonna be out of my life anytime soon.
