Chapter 13

On the evening at the guesthouse...

"Come on, let's go!" Ned gets impatient.

"Watch out yourself. I hope you will find the girls." Mark hugs Ned and Rafael at the same time.

"We will." Rafael promises.

Ned and Rafael leave the guesthouse and make their way to the cave tower.

"You said, that you know, why he wants to meet you in the cave tower." Ned starts.

"Yes."

"Why he wants to meet you there?"

"Maybe he wants to fight me."

"Fight you?"

"Yes. He wants to defeat me. He is also a sword fighter like me."

"Have you ever fought each other?"

"Yes. I always defeated him. The cave tower is a perfect place to fight. That's why he chose it."

"But what if it's only a trap?"

"No, I think not."

"What makes you so sure?"

"Well, Luca would do everything to defeat me in a one-on-one battle. Leading me into a trap would only be coward and not something special. I think he is not the person to do that."

"We can't be sure."

While they pass the forest some undeads cross their way.

"Oh a little warm up." Rafael comments the situation. He pulls out his sword and makes a stylish spin and smashes off the heads of them. Ned stabs his knife into their heads.

"So now I am warmed up. Here it goes." Rafael orders. Ned quietly follows him. They get to a place where a cave with some stairs is.

"That's the cave tower."

"Then lets enter."

They climb up a big edge and then they climb up the stairs until they reach a platform, where Luca is waiting.

"What a surprise! I didn't know, that you really would come!" He starts.

"Of course! I have to save someone!"

"The girls are in our hands. That's strange. You are here with this guy. You were five. One person is missing. Where is the other guy who were with you?" Luca gets a bit angry.

"We seperated."

"You seperated, why?"

"It doesn't matter. I think the reason you wanted me to get here is another than only talking."

"You are astute, Rafael. Yes, the reason, why I wanted you to get here is a duel with you."

"How I already thought."

Luca starts walking along in front of Rafael. Rafael stays calm and follows Luca's walk with his eyes.

"I have waited so long for this moment! I trained long and hard, only with the target to defeat you!" Luca positions himself so that Rafael has to turn to the side. Now they are standing face to face with a middle distance. It's silent for this moment. Cause of the darkness of the evening sky the silence seems creepy. Ned excitedly watches the scene. Although he isn't involved he is still nervous. Luca pulls out his sword and holds it with both hands in the direction of Rafael. He still stays calm and also pulls out his sword. Luca starts to run up to Rafael. He carries out a smash. Rafael parries the smash. He holds his sword against Luca's sword. For a moment Luca has the upper hand. Rafael tries to hold against it. He has to step back for a moment.
