I was walking home with mom from the potion shop. I held a big rainbow lollipop in my hands that was bigger than my whole head. My two pig tails swaying as I walked.

-"Thank mommy for getting me this lollipop" I told my mother as I licked the colorful candy.

-"Well, you earned it for conjuring fire yesterday perfectly" she smiled lightly at me.

We entered the big big gates of the manor. I wonder when I'm going to be as tall as mommy and maybe the gates won't look so big.

Mom put the potion supplies on the table.

-"Ready for todays lesson Honey?"

-"I'm always ready mommy,I'm a big strong girl" I grinned because I like making mommy proud.

-"Good,now come outside"I followed her outside skipping so that my pig tails would hit my face. I like it when they do that it's so fun.

Mommy stopped under the tree were there were a bunch of black birdies. I pouted and crossed my arms. I don't like those birdies,they always wake me up in the morning.

Mommy grabbed one and put it in front of me.

-"Kill it" she said with a very serious face. She looked at me like I had done something wrong but I had behaved well.

I didn't want to kill this birdie. I know they bug me a lot in the morning but that's no reason to kill it.

-"Why?" I looked at her with my big puppy eyes. Maybe that will make her pity me and she won't get mad.

-"Because I said so. Also,this is your lesson today,to kill this bird"

-"But it hasn't done anything wrong mommy" I was confused. In those books ,that mommy has in that big big book room, the princesses don't kill animals. The books say that killing is bad then why did mommy want me to do something bad?

-"Jade,it's time you learn that you don't need a reason to kill. If you feel like it or someone tells you to kill,you do it. Right now I'm asking you to kill this God Damn bird!"she shouted. Oh no,I was scared of mommy when she shouted. But I didn't want to kill the birdie,so I'm going to do what mommy told me one time, 'stand your ground'.

-"I said no mommy,that's bad"

-"Precisely why you have to do it. The blood in your veins carries evil,Jade. Let me ask you something. Do you want to make mommy happy?"

-"Yes"

-"Then kill the goddamn bird! Jade,you must know that you were born to be evil,to do bad things,to be mean,to be powerful. That is what I am teaching you right now,so do it,kill the bird"
